  • VG Kilgore Discusses Obedience
Ham is a man of passion and questions. He's adored his wife, Lita, since he first saw her draped in her father's fishing nets and threatened to leave with her if his father, Noah, didn't allow the marriage. She becomes his greatest comfort when Ham is at odds with his father and brothers. When Noah claims their God has commanded him to build an Ark to escape a devastating flood, Ham worries about the construction stripping the land and the community's ridicule of the family. He and Lita draw closer together as outsiders. They're shocked when the rains come and the entire family is forced into the Ark, along with the animals that appeared. Confinement and uncertainty of fate amongst the refugees exaggerate normal family tension, rivalries and forbidden love. On land, they reject efforts to reestablish traditions, feeling independent and invincible, as those chosen by their God to survive and thrive. But for Ham, there's tragedy and more doubt. Noah warns him he must yield his will, lest there be even graver consequences. Ham can't imagine anything worse and careens down the path that forever links him with depravity and harsh judgment.

  • Chris Jones Reversione: Reset the Future
The story is about a group of time travelers who discover that the end of civilization is near. After some investigation they discover that the end occurs because of global warming the result of many years of pumping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The time machine they use has a power source that could easily be used as a clean energy replacement. However, in order to change the future, they have to go back in time and reinvent the time machine and the power source over 150 years before it was originally built. This is actually the underlying story though. The real story is the love story that happens when two of the scientists from different times are brought together to accomplish the task. Most of the story focuses on how the couple meets and falls in love. As well as how the love they shared grows over time. There are multiple twists and turns of course and with the time travel involved it will leave you guessing as to how the couple manages to outlast the changes they have to make in order to save the human race from extinction.

I'm a 47 year old software engineer, turned author living in the Dallas, Texas region. Originally a native of North Carolina, I moved to Texas in 1997 to pursue a career in the degree field that I graduated college with. The novel I have written and the stories I am writing all were stories I dreamed up from the time I was about 16. I finally sat down one day and started turning them into novels so that others could enjoy the stories I only imagined in my free time.

  • Sarah Buhrman Visits The Coffee Shop Too Wyrd
Nicola was never a hero. She was an everyday single mother, Heathen witch, and herbalist. And she was happy with her quiet life until the night Joseph showed up at her door with news that her step-sister joined a cult… and disappeared.

Pressured by family loyalties, Nicola goes back to Indianapolis, dodging old enemies and calling on old friends to help her. What she finds instead are an ex with super-powers, monsters and demigods on the streets, and a detective ready to bring her in for a murder investigation or three.

Can Nicola become the hero she needs to be, or will she lose everyone she cares for?

Sarah has been writing for more than 20 years. With a tongue-in-cheek way of looking at the world, her form of story and verse is blunt and witty. She lives in the middle of nowhere with two monsters (the kids), an ogre (the hubby), and whatever drama-llama is coming to visit this week.

  • Tahani Nelson The Last Faoii
The Faoii have protected Clearwall for generations. With militaristic order and stalwart discipline, these women have reigned in prosperity. But when her monastery is attacked and her sisters slaughtered, only young Kaiya-faoii is left alive.

Forced to cope without the long-standing traditions of her Order, Kaiya travels the country on a mission to avenge her sisters and preserve what is left of her heritage. The search brings her not only to dark discoveries and ancient family secrets, but to something she never wanted or dreamed of: a brother she never knew she had.

Forced into a war at the heart of a broken empire, the siblings must evaluate the true meanings of enemy, betrayal and freedom―and the gray areas surrounding each. Meanwhile, Kaiya slowly learns the true state of the world outside her monastery’s walls, the dangers of the poisonous army that is slowly covering the land, and of her own innate abilities gifted by the Goddess.
Tahani Nelson grew up in Mesa, Arizona amidst towering saguaros and a blissful ignorance of snow. Now, she teaches high school English in rural Montana and lives with her husband, two cats, and (somehow) an adamant disregard for the existence of snow boots.

She lives her life in a perpetual fog of loss and regret, wishing more than anything to be like everyone else…to be normal.

Then Cerys meets a new friend, one whose thoughts are as clear to her as speech, and she finds her own previously muddled thoughts growing clearer. It seems like a miracle to Cerys and the small circle of people who care for her. Now that her thoughts are clearer though, she knows she can’t ever tell anyone how she came by her incredible cure. In fact, she knows that if anyone found out her friend’s identity, it would surely lead to death for both of them. Like Cerys, her new friend is different from everyone else in the world.

    About the author:

In the 1990’s and 2000’s, Guy Donovan worked in both television and feature films as an animator and storyboard artist/designer for Marvel Films, Hanna-Barbera, Sony Pictures, DreamWorks SKG, and Warner Bros Feature Animation, among others. Now he works at a government job in North Dakota in return for a steady paycheck and job security, allowing him to continue his wasteful habits of eating and providing for my wife and daughter.

Creatively starved by his job, Guy turned to writing at the advice of his wife, a fellow Hollywood expatriate who writes both screenplays and novels. That led to his current obsession with 5th century Wales, which is the setting of his “Dragon’s Treasure Series." The first three novels, “The Forgotten Princess of Môna,” “A Cold, White Home,” and “Songs of Autumn” are currently available as eBooks for the Kindle. The final installment, “Memories so Distant and Brief,” will follow in winter of 2018.
