Paul wrote the church in Colossae to strengthen it against false teachers trying to impose legalistic dietary and religious rules. Using a hymn in two stanzas Paul reminds them of their sufficiency in Christ who is the sovereign Lord of creation, the church, and their salvation. An exposition of Colossians 1:15-20.
