Jesus Culture San Diego Message of the Week

In this MOTW Pastor Zack dives into Romans 5–7 as Paul tackles a timeless question: If we’re saved by grace, does sin still matter? Through powerful contrasts between Adam and Christ, Paul reminds us that grace isn’t permission to sin, it’s power over sin. We don’t fight for victory; we fight from a place of victory in Jesus. This message calls us to stop striving for self-justification and instead surrender fully to the finished work of the cross.

Pastor Zack continues our series in Romans, unpacking the powerful truth that we are justified by faith, not by works. Through Jesus’ finished work on the cross, we are declared righteous and welcomed into God’s family. This message invites us to stop striving and live from the peace, grace, and hope we have in Christ.

This Sunday we heard from 3 key leaders in our congregation. They are young and emerging voices in the Kingdom of God!

Pastor Jordan continues our “To All the Saints” series in Romans by walking through Paul’s powerful teaching on sin, brokenness, and our universal need for grace. He reminded us that sin flows from lost intimacy with God and that selfrighteousness is just as dangerous as open rebellion. Paul confronts the church’s tendency to judge others while excusing ourselves, calling us back to humility and mercy.

Pastor Zack launched our new series “To All The Saints” by taking us into Romans 1 and back to the foundations of our faith. Paul’s bold declaration, “I am not ashamed of the gospel”, reminds us that the gospel isn’t something we improve or add to, but the very power of God to save, transform, and sustain everyone who believes.

In this message, you’ll discover what it truly means to follow Jesus through every season, not just the victories, but the surrender and challenges that lead to real transformation. Pastor Zack shares how to walk with God in difficult moments without avoiding them or getting stuck in them. You’ll also learn how praise and thanksgiving become powerful spiritual tools in your everyday life. Instead of waiting for circumstances to change, you’ll be encouraged to praise God in the middle of the trial, shift your perspective, strengthen your faith, and experience His presence in a deeper way.

Missionaries Lucas and Jeremy challenge the church with a sobering and hope-filled call to surrender—inviting us to follow Jesus not just in power, but all the way to the cross. Through stories from the nations and the vision of Every Language, we are reminded that God uses weakness, obedience, and laid-down lives to fulfill the Great Commission, bringing His Word and His presence to the ends of the earth.

Pastor Zack unpacks Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well, revealing how our deepest thirst isn’t physical—but spiritual. Through the lens of John 4, we’re invited to examine what we’ve been drinking from, exchange counterfeit sources for the living water found only in Jesus, and surrender anew to the One who alone can truly satisfy our souls.

Banning gives a word heading into our 21 day church fast about healthy disruption in our regular rhythm and how seasons of consecration catapult us into deeper hunger with God.

Pastor Zack takes the last service of the year to celebrate of all that God has done in our congregation through testimonies.
