Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

Each one of us struggles with sin of some kind. It may be lying, it may be stealing, or it may be the topic of today's message, sexual impurity. Whatever the sin, Pastor Daniel reminds us that we need to take the time to work on ridding our lives of them! Jesus has covered our sins with His death on the cross, but that doesn't make them any less potent! The enemy will try to destroy us through our weaknesses, so we need Jesus to help us fight back!

Today's message continues Pastor Daniel's review of the Ten Commandments. Each of these commandments are a reflection of our relationship with God, our relationship with ourselves, and our relationship with the people we encounter every day. When we follow the commandments God, those relationships will be honored the correct way, bringing life to us and to the people we're trying to reach with God's message of love and grace!

Hard hearts allow hatred to rule. These hearts also refuse to show mercy to those in need, and find fault wherever they go. Pastor Daniel today reminds us that we don't have to live with hard hearts anymore! Thanks to Jesus, we can live in the freedom of love and grace! Our hearts can become soft and filled with compassion for the people around us – our families, friends, and even strangers. Jesus wants to set us free to share His love!

When God created mankind, He already had a plan of Salvation in place. He demonstrated it immediately as well, by giving the people He created a day of rest. As Pastor Daniel continues to review the Ten Commandments today, we'll see God's plan of Salvation revealed in His command for us to cease from working one day a week. We can't get to God by our works. Instead, we need to rest in His hands and learn about His immense love for us!

While learning the Ten Commandments, we can become very aware of the depth of our sin. Pastor Daniel doesn't want us to come away feeling hopeless today. Instead, we can rejoice in the fact that we've been redeemed by Jesus! We will still sin, but we are forgiven and accepted even before we bring our failures before our Savior! We can continue to live for God, confessing and repenting of our sins, all the while knowing we're covered by grace!

The Bible tells us that God is jealous. This, to our finite minds, makes us think of the negative connotations of this word. However, Pastor Daniel reveals in today's message how this jealousy is a benefit to us! God has an intense love and devotion to us, His creation, and wants to bless us fully. In order for this to happen, though, we need to choose to focus our attention on God exclusively, not on what is offered to us in the world!

The first of the Ten Commandments is the most important commandment we need to know and follow. Pastor Daniel shares in today's message that by following the commandment of loving God with all of our being, we'll also be able to follow all the others much easier. Our focus should be always on God, no matter what's happening in our day. His guidance will help us avoid other sins, and will keep us on the path He has designed for us!

The Ten Commandments are important to learn and to live out in our lives. These commandments are not meant to save us – only Jesus can do that! However, Pastor Daniel reminds us today that it's still a good idea to know how Jesus wants us to live, and we can know this by studying the Ten Commandments. We can post the words around the walls of our lives, but we need to also study them and make them a part of our walk with God!

You were made to be unique. God knew who you would be before you were even born! Every quality and every fault were known to Him, and He still chose YOU to be one of His children! Pastor Daniel shares in today's message just how incredible this unique life can be for each one of us! We were never meant to live as everyone else does, but rather as our Father in Heaven created us to live. We're to show people what it means to live for God!

Without realizing it, we can shift our focus away from our Savior and place it on something else. It's easy to do – the world is alluring and the enemy uses every trick in his book to distract us! Today Pastor Daniel reminds us to turn back to God, and away from worldly idols! Our worship should always be focused on our Creator, not on inanimate objects. And even when we discover we've lost our perspective, we can always come back to God!
