Jesus is Real Radio with Daniel Fusco

If you set out today to find the perfect church...you'd be stuck in an endless loop of church-hopping. Churches are made up of imperfect people...just like you. We can't hide our flaws from God in a church...they bubble up there, too. Today's message is the first in a series, where Pastor Daniel takes us through the strengths and weaknesses of the churches addressed by Jesus in the book of Revelation. Jesus sees everything we do, and wants us to know what we're getting right...and also what needs correcting.

We join Pastor Daniel in the midst of a testimony about a friend of Daniel's that recently passed away. This brother asked Daniel to make the funeral services ALL ABOUT JESUS...to make Jesus the focus. This displays a real heart of love for God and God's people. Pastor Daniel will remind us today that Jesus is Worthy and because He's worthy, we need to focus our minds and hearts on His purposes and plans for our lives.

Today Pastor Daniel continues sharing with us the core values of Crossroads Community Church. And it really doesn't matter that you don't specifically attend Crossroads Community Church...these core values are soundly based upon the Word of God and are applicable, regardless. One of those values is the fact that we're all in a state of change...we're in process. And because WE are changing, we need to extend God's love, mercy, and grace to those that are ALSO changing around us.

That's a truth that if you're like me...you may not have considered...but, the implications are profound! If everyone has a set of moral, faith based, values...then sharing the Gospel with them just became much easier. When a person comes to understand that they DO, in fact, have a moral basis...the logical question then is, what do you base your morality on? Jesus and the morality He represents becomes so much more worthy in this context, because He's perfect!

All those examples that Pastor Daniel just shared are so true...much of the good that we enjoy comes through the breaking process. Pastor Daniel will share with us how important it is for each of us to experience that before we can be used by Jesus to be on mission with Him. Jesus will take what you meagerly offer Him, bless it, and then break it and divide it for His purposes...just like He did for so many with the bread and fish. We just need to be sure that we're saying yes to Him on a daily basis.

The hustle and bustle of this life can be completely overwhelming at times. For most of us our days are planned days, if not weeks, in advance...we know exactly where we're going to be and when. It's easy to walk right past that homeless person in front of Starbucks and miss the fact...that that man or woman is another human being deeply loved and valued by God. Brothers and sisters, we need to shake off the slumber of the status quo and be on mission with Jesus!

Sometimes we take that fact for granted because of the very point that Pastor Daniel was just making...our senses are dulled to reality because of over exposure. Here in the West, we miss the amazing blessings that we enjoy because most of us have several Bibles...even listening to solid Bible teaching here on the radio is a privilege many don't enjoy. Part of God's seeing is His knowing. He knows us. He wants to use each of us to seek out the lost. Jesus is on mission and we should join Him.

Despite what our culture tells us...everyone is responsible for their own choices. There's a lot of blaming going on in our culture today. It's the environment I grew up in...it was the parents I had...the list goes on and on. But, stop and think about Adam and Eve...wasn't the garden of Eden the most wonderful place imaginable? And yet they fell. Why? Because they chose to disobey God's instructions. Pastor Daniel will exhort us today to choose to accept God's call of transformation.

WOW! I don't know about you...but, that statement strikes a chord. Could that be true? Maybe you've walked with God for many years and yet your life is somewhat the same as it was before you accepted Christ? Could it be that Jesus isn't transforming your life because you're choosing to walk in disobedience? Pastor Daniel will remind us today that the transforming power of Christ in our lives is accessed by our obedience to Him.

At every stage of our lives we are always faced with the same decision...will be choose to follow Jesus and His ways or will we choose to reject His ways in favor of the methods of this world and our flesh? Today Pastor Daniel will be talking about the transforming power of Jesus in our lives. Through the Word and the Holy Spirit, we are being made into the image of Christ. Will you allow Him to transform you today?
