Welcome to Sixty Second Christianity. I’ve begun a series of episodes looking at the gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. So far we’ve seen that Jesus existed eternally as God the Son before taking on human nature. John 1:1-3 reveals that Jesus, the Word, is eternal and the Creator of the universe. But John goes even further. In John 1:4-5, he tells us, "In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." Jesus is the light shining in a dark world. It’s no surprise to to you that much of our world is walking in darkness. People desperately need to step into the light! Though most people reject Him, those who receive Him gain the right to become children of God. I hope that’s you.
