Jesus said, "I am the light of the world." A major theme in the Bible related to God the Father, His Son Jesus, and the Gospel message is light vs. darkness. Darkness represents evil, deception, and our lost world. God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. He sent His Son as a light into our dark world. When we repent of our sins and put our faith in Christ we are transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of His marvelous light.
