Will you hear the story? This verse is about all that is good flowing in and through you:

...On the last and most important day of the festival, Jesus stood up and shouted, “If you are thirsty, come to me and drink! Have faith in me, and you will have life-giving water flowing from deep inside you, just as the Scriptures say.” Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit, who would be given to everyone that had faith in him. The Spirit had not yet been given to anyone, since Jesus had not yet been given his full glory...

Matthew 13:33 - The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough. Matthew 13:44 - The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Matthew 13:45-46 - The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Matthew 13:47 - The kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.

Matthew 18:3 - Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19:23-24 - Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.

Matthew 19:28 - Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Mark 10:15 - Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. Luke 13:18-19 - What is the kingdom of God like? It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.

Luke 13:20-21 - What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.

Luke 17:20-21 - The kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.

John 18:36 - My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.

Jesus takes this breath of life we have in this moment, in these years we live on earth, and extends it into all eternity when He makes all things new. People are hungry for God, and what I want to hear most is what Jesus says about people and life.

John 11:25-26:

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”

John 5:24:

“Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and… has crossed over from death to life.”

John 6:47:

“Very truly I tell you, the one who believes has eternal life.” John 8:51: “Whoever obeys my word will never see death.”

John 11:11:

“Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.” (Jesus has power to raise the dead)

Matthew 16:25: “Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.”

It's sad that some people miss the chance to hear about God's kingdom because the message is presented with pride or arrogance.

Religious teachers who knew the scriptures well often used them to judge and exclude others, rather than to bring people into life. Jesus was critical of those who kept people out.

Through Jesus, God offers eternal life, and I hope everyone will consider this message despite the painful ways it has been explained sometimes.

In John 11, Jesus says, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." Those who hear his word and believe in God cross from death to life. Take a moment to read the scriptures and reflect on where you stand with God.
