Lee, Andy, and Nathan connected with the Brian Glaser, Managing Editor of eVTOL.com to talk about the state of the union of the eVTOL industry. It is interesting to hear and talk through the technological breakthroughs and the application based challenges. From infrastructure hurdles to regulatory bureaucracy to public perception eVTOL has several significant challenges ahead before these vehicles will become a mainstream mode of transportation. One theory our hosts provide is that business aviation will wind up being the operators to bring eVTOL mainstream once some of the aforementioned challenges are met. Our guest Brian is clearly passionate about his work and the industry. His push for a realistic view of the progress and the challenges makes for a great conversation. If you want to connect with Brian you can find him on LinkedIn at: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bgarrettglaser/ or Twitter at: @bgarrettglaser. In the 3rd episode of their second season Lee, Andy, and Nathan were joined by Gary Lee who is VP and COO of Jet East Aviation. One of Gary's many hats is leading the company's AOG response teams. While you will hear Gary say in this episode that there is no secret recipe to finding the best AOG technicians, if you listen closely and take notes to you will find the recipe has everything to do with culture, transparency, believing in people, and looking beyond the resume to name just a few key ingredients. We also talked about the merger efforts between Jet East and GAMA Aviation. We will have a follow-up episode with Gary and the others about what the company looks like on the backside of this monumental transaction. Links for Gary, Jet East, and your host are listed below. Episode 23 of Jet Blast was a very insightful conversation with Dr. Amy Grubb from the FBI. Yes she has the wind breaker, and yes Andy and Nathan were super envious of that little tidbit. Amy shared an often overlooked element of technology based change management, and that is the human element. We discussed strategies for making sure we take people with us when we implement tools and or processes. You will definitely want to have a pen handy to capture some of these nuggets that Amy shared. Please keep the feedback coming! We love hearing from our listeners.
