Jets Underground: Covering The New York Jets Football Team

Geno Smith looked great on Friday night. Hitting receivers, seeing the field and getting rid of the ball quickly.

This is Geno Smith’s first game since coming back to the Jets. Expect him to play about two series. Rookie QB Cade Klubnik should follow, and hopefully he will play the balance of the first half.

Jets have players this year that are attractive to fantasy leagues.

What to look for from the Steelers this Friday night.

Great kicking competition today!

The latest on Breece Hall and other Jets transactions. One good thing from last Friday’s scrimmage that was not talked about enough

Marty gives his final thoughts!

I’ll be watching and re-watching tonight’s game closely. My own personal focus comes down to three key things:

* David Bailey — How will he hold up against the run? We already know he can rush the passer in limited reps, but stopping the run is the next big test.

* Olu Fashanu (#74) — His run-blocking has been suspect. I’ll be focusing specifically on his technique and assignment execution whenever the offense runs his way.

* Cade Klubnik — Watch his pocket presence and how quickly he gets rid of the football. I care a lot more about his poise and decision-making under center than his raw stats.

Enjoy the game—football is back!

Jets Underground correspondent Jonathan Falco gives his preview of the Jets’ first pre-season game.

While the offense looked better, the Jets’ secondary faced difficulties as Baker Mayfield sliced them up. Meanwhile, it was another strong day for David Bailey. Jeremy Ruckert, Mason Taylor, and Cade Klubnik also did well.
