Jewish Matters

Does Judaism believe in Heaven and Hell? Can our actions impact the fate of the soul of someone who has passed on to the next world? How does the journey of the soul impact how we should live our lives? Is there a way to prepare for the ultimate journey? Does the Torah speak of an afterlife?

We all want to know the ultimate question: what happens after we die? Does our soul live on? Where does it go? Is there any way to prove there is an afterlife? Can the departed know what is going on in our lives? Can we communicate with them? We will draw from Near Death Experience literature and Kabbalah, and Jewish sources to map the journey of the soul.

Tap into the deeper dimensions of Yom Kippur.  We will explore the spiritual nature of the day -which is different than all other days of the Jewish calendar.  We will also look at tools of how to make Yom Kippur a day of inner transformation.

Blowing the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah is a very primal and yet puzzling experience. Why does the Torah not mention Rosh Hashanah by name, what is the hidden dimension of this holiday that we are supposed to unveil.  How is the Shofar meant to transform us and set a path for the New Year?

The history of modern Israel is a story of modern miracles. It is the story of a new nation, the ingathering of Jews from all over the world. It is the story of a small impoverished nation focused on agriculture that becomes a tech powerhouse. It is the story of the Israel-Arab conflict. It is the story of a small nation surrounded by enemies that pulled off an unprecedented victory in the 6 Day War, and then almost lost it in the Yom Kippur War. Join us as we look at 77 years of modern miracles.
