Welcome to Episode 63! Today I chat to Doug Buckeridge who is a National Champion and holds PBs of 3:48 in the 1500m and 8:16 for the 3k. We reflect on high-school as Doug has recently finished his year 12 exams. We also cover Doug's journey through running in local school cross country to joining Box Hill and SAS Track. Doug also does not use social media, so massive respect as Insta and Snap we all use frequently but there any benefits. Doug's a massive CATS fan too so it was fun to chat about their ageing list and the time North Melbourne managed to hold on in the 2014 semi-final! The challenge is to raise $30 million dollars and pull 30 million pounds of ocean plastic from the oceans, rivers, beaches filled with plastic trash. We talk marathons as Wallace is planning on running a Half Marathon and possibly a Marathon in the coming years. Grateful to chat with Melbourne University Athletics Club legend and fellow Middle Distance runner Isaac Hockey who has run a 1500m of 3:38 and 8:01 in the 3000m. We discuss growing up in Geelong with the awesome running tracks and Eastern Beach, studying Medicine at Melbourne University, the art of middle distance running. DOGS VS DEES Granny this weekend, my tip is the Dees by 18, amazing specticule cannot wait! This week I chat to Cal Watkins and Jack Shears who have previously featured on the show. We discuss what has been an interesting year for our beloved teams the Kangaroos and Bombers. We also dive into the incoming trade period, draft night and surprise packages of the year.
