This track is a wide stereo mix, kind of the sort of mix that Led Zeppelin used to do on their Blues stuff. This track incorporates a Jazz chord progression under a moving modal guitar lead section and a walking bass.

"Dodgy Bog", (which f.y.i. is British slang for Disgusting Toilet or Restroom) is a Drop D Guitar tuned riffed out, funky side-ways groove Hard Rock instrumental. I produced this track for film and TV licensing as with most of my tracks, but in this track's case I went a little more Jazzy artsy with it, especially in the guitar solo, where I'm really just doing improv Jazz techniques while shifting through modes. I like to use two-hand technique to accent notes and give them what I call "smooth feel", vs. just doing EVH style triplet taps all the time.

This track is built on 2 solid guitar hooks, but also two solid Bass hooks as well. The guitar solo down the middle of the track is done over a unique chord pattern to the song, which is nice for breaking things up in both chord changes and feel I think.

As always since I'm a guitar hook/riff based player, so that said I strongly urge you to reach for that volume knob and CRANK IT UP to 11 if it'll go there.

"Jingle Bell ROCK" - or as we called it during mixing, ("Jingle Bell ROCKED") - Every year except 2013 since 2008 I've done a track for the holidays. We at http://JFRocks.com ROCK out a holiday classic. This time around, I've done a rewrite and reriffed out version of the holiday Rock classic "Jingle Bell Rock". The riff structure is built around the melody of the song. The mix is total Hard Rock. This is a holiday track worth blowing some speakers over for sure..

Cut down the middle with a slick melody influenced guitar solo, this one should ROCK your holiday party without too much trouble.

Obviously this is a guitar instrumental, but all of the song's parts are there. I've just created guitar riffing around the melodies of the song. This is a very wide stereo Flanged guitar tone, except for the solo which is a wide stereo Chorused guitar tone.

"Funeral Death March", recorded for http://JFRocks.com 's annual "JFRocks Halloween" guitar track, tab, and often lesson update. This track is taken from the classic "Funeral March". The main chorus riff of the track is only slightly embellished from the original track, but the rest of the song is pretty much a dark evil free for all utilizing embellished pieces of the original track. Typically when I embellish I do it through chord substitutions and what I call "replaced riffing". This track is also cut down the middle with a quirky and somewhat off the wall improvised guitar solo. The first half of the solo is over a wicked Drop D guitar riff, and the second half is essencially over the intro/verse arpeggio chord change riff.

All that aside, as always, CRANK IT UP!!. This track is perfect to crank at your Halloween party, or just to scare the crap out of some kids. In either case have a great Halloween, and I hope everyone enjoys and cranks this "JFRocks Halloween 2014" track. "Whole Lotta Somethin" - is another one for my increasingly popular "ZEP SET" here on SoundCloud. This track is modeled after the ZEP classic "Whole Lotta Love" of course. I switched up the riffing a bit and added some diminished intervals a wicked E7+9 chord, and a D minor based bridge that just smokes with bass lines and Jimmy Page influenced chord Jazzy Blues chord changes. Cut down the middle with a rippin' Page style Zep II era guitar solo, this is another one worth blowing some speakers over.

That said, CRANK IT UP!!! We put a wide stereo on this one with spinning Leslie style speaker influence, so the louder the better!!

"Celtic Blunder" - Produced for a scene piece and for the soundtrack for the film #DrunksLikeUs. I was asked to produce a 3 minute adventurous Celtic vibe Hard Rock track. This track is built on not only Celctic feel, but also 3 different guitar hooks, mostly fast picked arpeggios, and an acoustic part at both the beginning and end of the song.

"CROCKY" - Produced for the film #DrunksLikeUs, written by Paul Mackie, and produced by Redmen Films UK.

Often times when I do music for films I get asked to produced something on the fly. Most times is a small segment of music as filler. This piece of "filler" is based on the ROCKY theme. I was asked to produce something that's close to the theme, but ROCKS!! That said I was more than happy to help out my good friends from the UK at "Redmen Films".

This is a short piece under 2 minutes. But it's got some nice vibe to it, and it was a big hit with my friends here at the JFRocks.com studio. That said, CRANK IT UP!! and enjoy. While it is just a film segment piece, it defintely ROCKS, and will put you in a good mood I'm sure.

"Nightmare in Dorian", produced with the working title "Emma", this track begins with a Victorian era Classically influenced string section, comprised of all guitars actually. 2 main guitar parts, 1 guitar volume swell high violin, 1 guitar volume swell med Violin, 1 guitar volume swell cello, and a bass. The violin and cello volume swell parts done in the song's very beginnings were produced using a Pitch Shifter and hammer-on volume swells with a Gibson Les Paul.

The rest of this song ROCKS!! It's made up of 2 guitar hooks, and through out the song there is a mix of odd and even time, and to make things even more complicated there are also 3 separate tempo changes, 1 of which is only 1 measure long. That said, this is one of the more complex songs I've produced for film and TV licensing in recent years.

The song's title stems from one of the modes used. The song actually utilizes several modes, Aeolian, Dorian, and Harmonic minor just to name a couple.

As always CRANK IT UP!! for the best wide stereo effect, and don't let the soft Classical intro fool you, I know sometimes attention spans are short here on SoundCloud and some of my songs that start out soft get less plays than ones that ROCK right from the get go. But there's something to be said for a little sophistication and build-up in songwriting, so give it a chance.

This song also has a killer guitar solo down the middle that moves through some paces. I actually improvsed this song's solo, I don't enjoy working solos out unless I have to. I like to just let them flow and come out as they will. In the end I think you guys will all dig this one for sure, but if nothing else this little "Dorian Nightmare" should and will take you on one heck of a journey through time, tempo, and feel changes.
