Profectus Jiu-Jitsu blue belt and professional musician, Spencer Askew, joins the podcast today.  Spencer wears many hats like; author, singer/songwriter, 2020 IBJJF Pan Am Gold Medalist, and podcaster just to name a few.  The three dive deep into Spencer's music career and what led him to jiu-jitsu.  He is recognized as a top 10 blue belt/ultra-heavy competitor in the IBJJF and shares his secret for finding early success in our sport.

Season's greetings!  This episode was recorded on Black Friday of 2021 and our special guest is non other than Jeff's business partner, Alex!  Alex was an island boy before settling down in TN where he works in IT and trains as a purple belt in BJJ.  The three amigos play a fun trivia game with squirt guns....as well as indulge in some hot cocoa and baklava provided by Big Al himself.  This was a fun episode.....not a lot of jiu-jitsu talk though LMAO

WE'RE BACK, the world's greatest jiu-jitsu podcast has returned with  Episode Thirty!  In this episode the guys go over the new studio setup  and Jeff's Black Belt promotion!  They go into the importance of  consistency while training and Reggie reviews the latest WNO event where  Gabi Garcia suffered one of the few losses of her career.  There is also a free tie dye "Jiu-Jitsu by the Train Tracks" T-shirt giveaway for  those who comment there favorite moment in this episode!

Welcome back ya'll!  That's right, we said YA'LL!  In this brand  spanking new episode the guys decide to try a new setup for the show.  They review Gianni Grippo's controversial submission at the Emerald City Invitational...and even bring REGGIE back for his take on the event in a new show segment called "What Reggie Thinks"  The episode discusses  submissions in general and what proper submission etiquette may look like for each belt level.

Sam Ives made a quick impact on the Profectus Jiu-Jitsu team.  Coming  from a background in bodybuilding and power lifting, Sam made great  strides as a BJJ competitor in both white and blue belt divisions.  He  is also the owner of Carothers Farms Fitness in Nolensville, TN; where  he coaches strength training for multiple jiu-jitsu athletes across  middle TN as well as the general public.  The trio discuss everything  from Sam playing Lacrosse in his youth to the wonders of being a new  father.  They also announce the winner of the "Fresh Rolls" T-shirt!
