One of the most common question I get when I do talks is: "Is franchising a good business?" I've had my experience about running a franchise business, but it was not successful, so I thought I'd invite someone who's had pretty good success in running a franchise business to help us out. One of my clients, Carla Canlapan, owns eleven Potato Corner franchises, one Nacho King, one Quickly and a Posh Nails franchise. So by sheer number of franchises she has, she would definitely know what she's talking about.
In this episode, we talk about how to start a franchise, what are the factors to consider before starting a franchise, how to pick your franchise brand and a lot more about the franchising business. So if you are considering this type of business, listen in and get some tips from someone who's done it a lot of times and has been very successful.

One of my goals in the next 12 months is to become a Unit Manager myself. So in this episode of Advisor Conversations, I invited my friends and colleagues from Philam Life Tin Dimaliuat and Rose Callo to share with me the secrets to their success in building a team of financial advisors. Hopefully, this episode can help those who aspire to build their own teams whether it be in the financial services industry or in other industries.

In this episode of Advisor Conversations, I invited my good friend Ryan de Vera (financial planning advocate and entrepreneur) because one, I miss chatting with him and wanted to catch up and two, I wanted to know more about coffee! But seriously, I wanted to really talk to him about business. Since I know he is a serial entrepreneur, I felt he would be able to share a lot of tips on how to manage a business. And he did not disappoint! Of course the coffee talk both on and off the record was the bonus for me. Eavesdrop in our conversations as we share some tips in starting and managing a business!

Life insurance is an important aspect of personal finance. Despite this, less than 10% of Filipinos are insured. I would say part of reason why Filipinos are not aware how important insurance is or why they don't take action is because the don't fully understand how life insurance works and how it can be beneficial to them. In this episode of Advisor Conversations, we talk about the different misconceptions about life insurance that at times prevent an individual from getting his own insurance.

With online shopping being so convenient these days as we can buy pretty much anything we want from the comforts of our home, what are some ways for us to make sure we don't overspend on stuff we don't need? How can we stay away from impulse buying?

In this episode I was joined by my 5am Club, Jay-Are and Marj, to discuss the right time to get insurance. What are the advantages of getting insurance when you have no dependents yet? Why should you still consider getting insurance when you are on your 50s/60s? And one of the more controversial topic in insurance - Should we insure our kids?
Hope you would find this helpful.

Welcome to another episode of Thursday Talks! What I love most about doing this show is that I get to connect and know more about friends and at the same time learn new things about life in general.
In this episode, Life Coach Bam Santiago talks about his move from being a musician to getting into life coaching. We also went deep into the benefits of leadership trainings, the challenges of a life coach, a bit about depression and a lot more great sharing to learn from.
