Welcome to my entry post to Hive Open Mic Week 224.

In response to this week's theme **"Summertime"** I chose to perform the song 🎵 Walking On Sunshine By Katrina and the waves.

When I saw the theme, the first song that came to my mind was "Walking on Sunshine."

But the funny part is I never knew the song full lyrics and the song meaning.

I only know and enjoy singing the lyrics because it has this happy childhood vibe.

I even thought the song was children's song.

The first time I heard the song, it was sang by group of kids, rejoicing and dancing happily.

Then the song time was on a radio station, they play the song before starting an evening children's program.

So, you see why I thought it was a children's song.

Deciding to do the song, I went online to search for the song lyrics and I was a bit surprised by what I saw hahaha 😆

It was totally different from what I thought the song was all about.

The song "Walking on Sunshine" refers to the happiness she felt being in love and being convinced that her man loves her too.


But to me, the song has always meant happiness of the summer season.

The brightness, sunny, and warmness the season brings.

This brings rejoicing and appreciating the summer period.

And this song is a pop song.

So, this song will be mostly enjoyed during this season.

Well, live comes with lots and lots, I don't know how it happens, but it happens.

And there is this emotion that comes from nowhere.

Making you feel some necessities, you feel you can't meet some certain things, you look down on yourself, you don't believe in yourself, and eventually you end up being sad.

This emotion makes one feel like shit and seriously want to be crazy.

I think that is life, and this emotion is put in place for a reason.

There is also this emotion that gives unlimited uplifting and strength to keep going.

It tells you you can do this, keep your head up high.

Don't let yourself down, nor look down on yourself.

Don't lose hope don't lose focus. Don't count on the mistakes. Don't regret it, don't you keep dwelling on the mistakes.

Don't start counting the mistakes and continue to regret.

Just live life.

Life must not be perfect.

It will not be perfect, don't worry about perfection.

The most important thing is to be happy.

Have fun in whatever you do.

Enjoy yourself in whatever you do. Always be happy with yourself.

Don't think of what people say, how they will take it, or how they will see it, no.

Life has a lot to offer, don't dwell on the ugly side of life.

Those things you are worried about have been in existence. It wasn't created for you.

When you meet them, say your greetings and move on.

Don't stress it on making life perfect for you.

But stress on embracing happiness at all times.

So after thinking all this.

I said to myself, "Just be happy, just live life, It will not be perfect."

You be happy doing you love, have fun, free yourself at the end of life, everybody will die.

And that ends it, life continues.

And nobody knows the beginning, neither do we know the end, even after death.

We don't know what happens.

All those saying about life after death are believe (faith and Christianity), they are assumptions and what we feel and what we think nobody knows, so why are you worried about life?

What I know is, "we only live once."

So why can't you be free with yourself? For the one life you have.

For my participation in Hive open mic week 185 with the theme **Passion** chosen by the community's recent spotlight artist, I chose to sing a song by a Nigerian gospel artist **frank Edwards titled Drop it at my feet**

It's an old song of 2016, but gospel worship songs are never old because it's us giving praises to God.

The song talks about God's love and passion for us.

It says, he sees our sufferings and pain, he is here to heal us from all challenges.

The repeated word **drop it at my feet, drop and walk away** is God telling us to trust him and cast all our fears for he cares for us.

It also says he hears our cry, that we shouldn't worry, we should just bring it all and drop it at his feet.

It's only the love of God that will overlook our sinful ways, wanting to heal us.

Because he feels our pains.

God's promises are ever truth, his love, and passion for us is unlimited (Numbers 23: 19).

Es una vieja canción de 2016, pero las canciones de adoración del evangelio nunca son viejas porque somos nosotros alabando a Dios.

La canción habla del amor y la pasión de Dios por nosotros.

Dice que él ve nuestros sufrimientos y dolores, que está aquí para sanarnos de todos los desafíos.

La palabra repetida **déjalo a mis pies, déjate caer y aléjate** es Dios diciéndonos que confiemos en él y dejemos todos nuestros miedos porque él cuida de nosotros.

Hello Afri-tunes.

It's been a while I made an entry here.

Glad to bring to you my entry for week 84.

It's a song that I love singing to because of its beat and flow.

I have always been wanting to use this song as my entry to Afri-tunes.

But I had challenges finding just the instrumental at first, and singing the song without the instrumental won't be enjoyed.

So, I kept it on hold until recently when I get Moises App.

Which made it easy for me to get an instrumental of the song.

It's with that happiness that made me jump to making an entry.

It's a song by **Yemi Alade - Kissing**

In this song Yemi Alade expresses the strong feelings of love and affection between two people, this is a love song.

That bloomed from when they were little 🤔

Can't really explain this in depth, but the lyrics say it all.

Maybe I could have understood it more to explain if I have my love story to tell.

Sadly, I don't have my love story to tell yet.

In relationships, there are countless things that contribute to breakups.

The total separation occurs when the two parties feel there is no use prolonging issues.

While in some cases, one person has to make the sacrifice to let go, even though deep down he/she doesn't want to let go.

Saying goodbye to a relationship that was built for some time can be very challenging to accept and move on, but it is, what it is.

Some walk away from relationships, saying their final goodbye when they feel the other person is neglecting them.

The other person neglecting might not really know that's the case.

The saying **we don't value what we have until we lose it** is applicable here.

Hive Open Mic Week 181 came with an interesting theme for the week, which is **fire of love**, chosen by the community's recent spotlight artist.

It goes well with the teachings I heard on Sunday, but I won't be writing on the teachings because I have already shared it.

And I had in mind to write a little bit about something different from it, but will pick little knowledge from it because **love** is **love**.

For this week, I selected to do the song by **Sia titled House on fire** because I think it's perfect for the week's theme.

In this song, the lyrics speak about radiating love, or passionate love that is burning and intense.

The song house on fire, like its name, compares itself to a burning love and desires (house on fire).

That it's going up in flames and continues to burn.

She narrates and compares her love like the burning fire and wants to keep burning, no matter the consequences.

Because a house set on fire, burning, has its consequences.

In the lyrics also, she talks about her being loved to the beat of drum.

That's intense, she feels the passionate love and calls out to her lover to love her.

That she needs him.

She doesn't want to be saved and blames her lover for making her intensity of love to be strong.

She also talks about feeling the pain of love, which she decrees of it feeling good.

This song describes the fire of love in her like oxygen, which she has fully consumed the oxygen and the intensity can't be quenched.

Even if there is saving to it, she refused to save it.

Hive Open Mic Week 181 vino con un tema interesante para la semana, que es **fuego de amor**, elegido por el reciente artista destacado de la comunidad.

Va bien con las enseñanzas que escuché el domingo, pero no escribiré sobre las enseñanzas porque ya las he compartido.

Y tenía en mente escribir un poco sobre algo diferente de eso, pero recogeré poco conocimiento de ello porque **amor** es **amor**.

Para esta semana, seleccioné hacer la canción de **Sia titulada House on fire** porque creo que es perfecta para el tema de la semana.

En esta canción, la letra habla de irradiar amor, o amor apasionado que es ardiente e intenso.

La canción casa en llamas, como su nombre, se compara con un amor ardiente y deseos (casa en llamas).

Que está ardiendo en llamas y sigue ardiendo.

Ella narra y compara su amor como el fuego ardiente y quiere seguir ardiendo, sin importar las consecuencias.

Porque una casa incendiada, ardiendo, tiene sus consecuencias.

En la letra también, ella habla de ser amada al ritmo del tambor.

Eso es intenso, ella siente el amor apasionado y llama a su amante para que la ame.

Que ella lo necesita.

Ella no quiere ser salva y culpa a su amante por hacer que su intensidad de amor sea fuerte.

También habla de sentir el dolor del amor, que decreta que se sienta bien.

Esta canción describe el fuego del amor en ella como oxígeno, que ha consumido completamente el oxígeno y la intensidad no se puede apagar.

Incluso si hay ahorro, ella se negó a salvarlo.

This week's theme is “Disney” chosen by the community's recent spotlight artist.

In response to the week theme, what came to my mind is numerous Disney movie songs.

I have to select one at of them all, and the songs are so funny and interesting.

Because each song tells or is telling a story of what is happening in the movie.


So, while singing any of the song, it sounds like you are talking to someone.

There is an interaction going on as you sing.

Most of the songs, you will have to pause in between and make a small speech, then continue singing while saying something 😅.

So, I decided to do one of the song from my favorite all-time Disney movie, “The Lion King”.

It's a song by **Elton John titled Can you feel the love tonight**

The main song lyrics was entirely different from the movie song lyrics because like I said earlier.

It's full of side talks and telling a story of what is happening in the movie.

The song is a romantic song about Simba and Nala falling in love with each other.

Though it's a romantic song, but it has a sad emotional part attached to it, when it comes to Timon and Pumbaa and a touch of being funny on how they acted about it😂😅

The people who communicated in this song while singing are Timon, Pumbaa, Nala and Simba.

Timon and Pumbaa worry that Simba and Nala romance will bring an end to their carefree days with Simba, sad and funny.

Because the love and care took another turn of time.

Best friends and lover competition 😅

Don't ask me if I cried with Timon and Pumbaa or if I smiled to Simba and Nala romance.

Tengo que seleccionar una de todas y las canciones son muy divertidas e interesantes.

Entonces, mientras cantas cualquiera de las canciones, suena como si estuvieras hablando con alguien.

Hay una interacción mientras cantas.

En la mayoría de las canciones, tendrás que hacer una pausa entre ellas y dar un pequeño discurso, luego continuar cantando mientras dices algo 😅.

Entonces, decidí hacer una de las canciones de mi película favorita de Disney de todos los tiempos, “El Rey León”.

Es una canción de **Elton John titulada ¿Puedes sentir el amor esta noche?**

La letra de la canción principal era completamente diferente de la letra de la canción de la película porque, como dije antes.

Está lleno de charlas paralelas y cuenta una historia de lo que sucede en la película.

La canción es una canción romántica sobre Simba y Nala enamorándose el uno del otro.

Aunque es una canción romántica, tiene una parte emocional triste cuando se trata de Timón y Pumba y un toque divertido en cómo actuaron al respecto 😂😅

Las personas que se comunicaron en esta canción mientras cantaban son Timón, Pumba, Nala y Simba.

A Timón y Pumba les preocupa que el romance de Simba y Nala ponga fin a sus días sin preocupaciones con Simba, tristes y divertidos.

Porque el amor y el cuidado dieron otro giro en el tiempo.

Concurso de mejores amigos y amantes 😅

No me pregunten si lloré con Timón y Pumba o si sonreí ante el romance de Simba y Nala.
