Recently during devotions I was reading the account of Jesus being in the boat with his disciples. He lay asleep "in the hinder part of the boat" while a "great tempest" arose. The stormy winds were blasting and the sea became treacherous and was filling up the boat. They all thought they were going to die. They awoke Jesus and He arose and "rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Peace, be still," and there was a great calm. Later on we read that Jesus sent His disciples into the boat, but he stayed behind and went into the mountain alone to pray. In the middle of the night another great storm unleashed upon the disciples, and Jesus saw them "toiling in the rowing."
Then Jesus came to them walking on the sea and went into the boat and the "winds ceased." You see that was the second time Christ manifested Himself, His glory to His men. Elijah is another story of a "second time" visit. He was afraid, depressed and wanted to die. But the Angel of the Lord, which is the pre-incarnate Christ, visited him and gave him bread and a cruse of water. Afterwards, "the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God."
Is it not good and comforting to know that the angel of the Lord came again the second time? We never come to the place where we pass out of reach of the compassion of God. "His compassions fail not they are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23).There have been times for nearly all of us when we have felt the truth of the angel's word: "The Journey is too great for thee"; but have we not always found the Bread of Life and Water of Life ready for our sustenance? And in the strength of that food, we have gone on, and shall go on even unto the mount of God. "David was the last one we would have chosen to fight the giant, but he was chosen of God." ~Dwight L. Moody

There is a boldness that we read about in the word that Paul speaks about. He asks for prayer, "that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel." And to multitudes of Christians, they see that it ends there. The perception of boldness in Christ is that of an overt posture of strong, loud talking and proclaiming. However, there is no potent force of love behind it. It takes on a kind of left-handed delivery of the word of God. It appeals to the flesh or soulish driven believer. They think that the loud banging gong of their voices is the proof that God is speaking through these ministers. But that could not be any further from the truth. And this kind of flesh boldness is not only about preaching and teaching God's word. It has everything to do with the nature of the born again man or woman in the common daily life. In essence, there are many layers to the boldness of God by His Holy Spirit.
The boldness that the people saw in Peter and John was more than what most what is thought of at first. Yes these men were demonstrative in their affection for the Lord and His eternal word. But there are other kinds of boldness we have to explore. There is a human boldness and a spiritual one. Both are needed in righteous delivery of intended need. One can be used to bring either total harm and destruction to others, all in the name of "doctrine." While the other good kind of boldness injects itself in what is worthy to stand up for and defend. The boldness Christ had was in the power of humility. He was not boldly proclaiming at His trial in boldness of speech that He was about to conquer sin, death and hell on His cross. No, He was meek and humble, which is tremendous boldness spiritually speaking. He went and did it boldly in that humility. "He humbled Himself and became obedient even unto the death of the cross." That is pure boldness and power.
And there were other times He let out heavy handed, articulate, judicial boldness against those that were offensive to Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is bold in both the needful correction of mankind, and also in brave, strong, sacrificial love. The boldness Jesus gives demonstrates and backs up everything given to us in in this life. There is also a gentle boldness that speaks quietly, and whispers, even in silence. That boldness is evident in those that others have seen that makes them "other worldly." People that "are no more of this world any more than Christ is of this world," for though they live in this earthly mortal world, they are those who live very near to Christ always. "When we find a man meditating on the words of God, my friends, that man is full of boldness and is successful." Dwight L. Moody

With the reality and knowledge of Jesus Christ being the true and living God, there is also the reality of His arch enemy, Satan the Devil. Paul the Apostle makes it very clear that there is an weighty opponent. A highly intelligent, articulate, calculating, wicked Being bent on wrathful vengeance against God. And that wrath is against all humanity, and most especially, the true Believer in Jesus Christ.
Today, Fred masterfully brings to understanding through scriptural light, the spiritual battle that we enter into at salvation. The method in dealing with enemy, and the assured rest we have in the power of the Cross. He expounds by personal testimony what happens when a person gives their life over completely to Jesus Christ. How each one enters into the battle and becomes a marked man or woman from then on.
Yet that man or woman who understands by God's word that they are called to be good soldiers of Jesus Christ, will also understand the words of Paul in 2 Corinthians 2:14, "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place."
In 1 Peter 5:8-9, " Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."
As Fred put it, "Satan will seek to kill your faith, steal your joy, and if he can, destroy your life." But God will make a way out for us under those heavy temptations, and that "way out" is Jesus Christ Himself. The triumph and victory belong to those whom Christ purchased by His own Blood, whose names are written in His Book of Life.
"The Preaching of Christ is the whip that flogs the devil, the preaching of Christ is the thunderbolt, the sound of which makes all hell shake." ~Charles Spurgeon

There is no question that we are at the end of time, prophetically speaking. Right now on the surface, everything looks like it is trending towards everything nearly at the same place as "back to normal." But it is not, it is smoke and mirrors and the farthest thing from it. This nation is seeing historic droughts, a new round of a more deadly pestilence that is already breaking out in every state. The strange weather and a looming financial cataclysm is unstoppable. Skyrocketing food prices and shortages, and homelessness.
Yet there are the people of God. And I do not mean that in any random sense, because there are millions of self identifying Christians that never have known Jesus Christ. But there are those that do know Jesus because through the thick and thin of it, they keep on following after Him with increasing fervency. And God knew what He was doing all along, though during decades of their lives they have only known hardship. They are conditioned in every situation because God was all they had. They are rock solid and they deeply, and profoundly love Him more than their own lives. Moses wrote about in Deuteronomy 32:10-12, "He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. As an eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: So the Lord alone did lead him, and there was no strange god with him."

If not now, there will come a time in life where God will want you to part ways with a person you love. A person who held your hand through many trials and temptations. The parting will not be for any failure of the relationship, but a parting ordained by God. It will be on the basis of your growth and maturity. Jonathan and David are the two people we read in the entire Bible of a friendship so potent in love for one another. A brotherly love that surpassed, "even that of the love of women."
When David was hiding out in the wilderness, and in the woods because Saul was hunting him down to kill him. Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God. Sometimes it feels as though our souls are always being hunted and there is never a day's respite. Souls tire of being hunted, and like David they are in the wilderness in a wood. Then was Jonathan's chance. But notice what he does; he does not comfort David that he becomes necessary to him. In essence Jonathan detaches David from himself, and he attaches him instead to his "very present help."
From there Jonathan went away to his house and David went into the wood.....alone with God. If he had leaned on Jonathan, if Jonathan had made himself necessary to David, he would not have leaned on his Rock, and proved the glorious strength of His Rock. His whole life would have been lived on a lower level, and who can tell how many of his songs would have been left unwritten, or all the prayers to God of his lamenting, losses, griefs and victories would never have been written. What great loss to the glory of God and to the church of all the ages had not Jonathan strengthened David's hand in God. Let that love that was in Jonathan for David be in you. That selfless, strong, brave and faithful love that detaches yourself from those you love, and strengthen their hands in God. There are always chances for strengthening one another's hands in God; let us not lose our chances.

**30 People Who Have Sadly Died By Suicide": https://youtu.be/jOprMA3PiBg
Today I poured out myself out from my deepest heart. It was not compulsory, nor a work of the flesh. It was from my heart that is connected to the heart of Jesus Christ. I say this with confidence because I know Him, and I know when He is moving. I woke up this morning with an overt penetrating sense within myself to give. To give myself away on the behalf of Jesus Christ. I felt that every little service to my family was being done from a place within myself that was freshly opened and new. It was as if I was literally doing everything towards the Lord. As I went on, that giving of myself away was growing and intensifying. The best way I can put it, was more like His life in mine. A source other than myself. It was like everything that had a dull haze over it became a blessing of newness. I saw that my life was meant for Jesus Christ. A demonstration of His love outpoured in everything to everyone.
A little while later, I went to do a some work answering emails. I saw a video sent to me by a friend, a compilation of thirty people who committed suicide. Along with their pictures, was a brief story about who they were. One was a little eight year old boy who cast himself off the building, which was his house. He had been terribly abused my his parents. Apparently, that little child chose to die and killed himself. As I watched this video I felt the power of the Holy Spirit well up within me and I cried out in my mind, "Lord what am I doing! What is my life!" It seemed as if I could then see in a vision a great ocean before me filled up with drowning people. They were screaming for help. It was night, and only me and perhaps a couple of others swimming around them trying to save them. I saw that they were only seconds from death and going into an eternity without Christ. There were too many to save and too few of us. I cried. I sobbed. At the same time I felt so powerfully a great knowing that Jesus Christ is so soon to return, and that is how He wanted me to see it. I believe He is calling me. C.T. Studd once said, “Some wish to live within the sound of a chapel bell, I want to run a rescue shop within a yard of Hell.”
He also said, "The “romance” of a missionary is often made up of monotony and drudgery; there often is no glamour in it; it doesn’t stir a man’s spirit or blood. So don’t come out to be a missionary as an experiment; it is useless and dangerous. Only come if you feel you would rather die than not come. Don’t come if you want to make a great name or want to live long. Come if you feel there is no greater honor, after living for Christ, than to die for Him.” The things I spoke about today were to me from the Lord, but I know that He wanted me to tell you. We are that close to His return. This is not a game, nor exercise, this is eternal life and that life is in His Son. As Jackie Pullinger said, "We don’t talk about ministries. I don’t have a ministry either, I just have a life...the joy is not seeing them come through, the joy is knowing Jesus. There is no other way to serve Him, but giving up your life. And this is voluntary. This is not a sentence of death at all. We are not sentenced to death, we are just privileged to answer His call."

The benefit of history is that it repeats itself. We see the Hebrew slaves chased through the Red Sea until the last sole of the foot of the last Hebrew person was lifted out of it. We see the end of this church age much the same way. Satan will fight to the bitter end with the true believers of Jesus Christ. And this fight is real and it is increasing with violent intensity. Lately there has been a steady increase of evil leveled against the people of God more so than ever before. I believe it is for the same reason. Satan is going to fight the believers until the day we are taken out of here in the Rapture of the body of Christ.
Just as "the devil disputed about the body of Moses," he is currently disputing our departure. Literally right before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, when Jerusalem is surrounded by Antichrist armies there will be a few men left in the city. In Zechariah 12:8-9 it reads, "In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem."
Those few men left in that city according to this passage will fight in hand to hand combat against these invading forces. In this epic future battle, God will give them the great and mighty anointed power as that as King David, who tore apart a bear, and tore the beard of a lion and killed them. And then He will "pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications..." We see history in the background and in the foreground already written. God has not brought us to this point in time to be swallowed up by the enemy and his malevolent forces. No way, quite the contrary. He brought us this far to see His great power in our lives, and the lives of our families, friends and all those around us. Remember Satan works for time, for he knows his time is short, but God works for eternity. Through death to life, through defeat to triumph, through suffering to joy, is God's way. "Father, may You build Your Son’s Body, destroy Your Son’s enemy, and hasten the coming of Your Son’s Kingdom! "Watchmen Nee ~

** How to Contact Holly Koretz: [email protected]
** A Minute To Midnite Contact: https://aminutetomidnite.com/contact/
Today Holly Koretz shares her testimony about her involvement in New Age practices. Her story is compelling, painful, and full of victory. It is important to note that the allurement of it was not a random temptation. It was a carefully devised plan by Satan that went all the way back to a moment of a soul trauma in her very young childhood. It set her up for her entrance into the New Age paths that was a swift descent into destruction and powerful darkness.
Her story is much more than a start to finish build up. There is necessary, powerful insight that is spiritually seen in it. That is the point of her message. It is for all of us to see how the enemy enters in to a child's life by trauma, and how that person goes on seeking and looking for a peace they cannot attain. The seduction of New Age is deeply rooted in the darkest occult practice that go all the way back to the beginning of time. It should rather be called "Old Age."
What begins as euphoric peace takes the individual into the depths of spiritual bondage and chains to demons. In Holly's message, she shows how God kept her from many dangerous things and circumstances that could have destroyed her life, even from death. Until the moment she cried out to Jesus Christ from the lowest dungeons. Now she is wonderfully saved, healed and given a beautiful brand new life. Our prayer is that many will hear this message, share it. And let that great light of Christ shine upon those "who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death" of this very dangerous New Age Movement. That they will come out of darkness into Christ's marvelous light.

The subject of hell has always been one of contention. Some people either accept it as a very real place. Others think it is metaphorical or that it does not exist at all. However, the Bible continually warns of a place called hell. There are over 162 references in the New Testament alone which warns of hell. And over 70 of these references were uttered by the Lord Jesus Christ. Recently I heard a brief teaching from a very popular young minister who is gaining a worldwide following.
His position on hell was that it was never part of the new creation. Furthermore he taught that hell is in man and comes from man. That hell is the result of James 3:6, "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." He believes that hell is on earth due to the wicked tongue of people. He purports that hell is not a place but replaces the word "sin" with the word "hell." That Jesus Christ died on the cross in order to get "hell out of us." His discourse was universal. Hell is a very real place, as real as heaven. Jesus said, "Behold, I go to prepare a place for you..."
Paul told us long ago what would be in the latter days, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2 Timothy 4:3-4. The only reason this doctrine of there being no real place called hell is gaining such world wide popularity is obvious. Jesus Himself said, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat." That destruction is eternal separation from Christ in hell. Yet he adds, "Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." That life is eternal with Christ in heaven. How shocking will it be for all those that mocked the existence of hell that will find themselves there in the end. Make sure you are not among them.

Have you been found yourself lately hungering deeply for the Lord? Perhaps it has been a long time you have been deeply yearning for Him. You have stacks of different Bible translations, commentators, expositors and a line-up many books supposedly containing spiritual insights. You take copious notes of seemingly inspired insights that start looking like a treasure map that leads nowhere. Next you try going from one You Tube channel to another in hopes that perhaps you will find a passage-way to the "depths of Jesus Christ." Only to find that it added up to nothing more than a monochromatic spiritual void that deepened.
We read the words of David that say, "Deep calleth unto deep..." This means that the deep heart of God is calling you from the depths of your heart. His heart is calling you, beckoning you to go with Him into His deep places. Do not be mistaken. It is not attainable by more reading, note taking, and a daily parade of videos. In fact, all those things are an external application of trying to acquire the deep things of God that only make it you feel ten times more emptier. Besides it is only more head knowledge cargo, while the entire time your heart increases in the deeper yearning. "The deep of man’s need calleth unto the deep of God’s fulness; and the deep of God’s fulness calleth unto the deep of man’s need. Between our emptiness and His all-sufficiency there is a great gulf. . . . Deep calleth unto deep. The deep mercy of God needs our emptiness, into which it might pour itself. . . . Nothing can fully meet the depth of our need but the depth of His Almighty fulness” - And excerpt from Handfuls on Purpose by James Smith and Robert Lee - 1943
There is only one way to enter into the depths of God and that is to go to Him empty handed in prayer. Go to Him with nothing but your heart in the matter and tell Him you are ready to God with Him. To reveal to you His deep things, the depth of His riches, the depths of His love, the depths of His mercy. The riches stored in secret (deep) places. Your yearning heart of prayer is the only thing required. Do not think you can ever know what those deep things of God are. They are things only He can show you. They are His to reveal and past finding out. Let it be His joy to take you there.
