Weather in 5 as a new month begins with sunshine across much of the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states. In fact the weather across the US is quite calm  today. No major issues are on the table other than a weak cold front now over the Great Lakes passes through the Northeast Friday morning with a couple of showers. Dry and cool through the weekend. More rain possible Sunday night into Monday. In the Western Caribbean low pressure is developing and there is a strong chance we could see a tropcial depression or a tropical storm form over the weekend in this area.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Wednesday September 30, 2020 Last night's cold front and developing low produced 2 to 3 inches of widespread rain from Virginia to New England putting a solid dent into the New England drought. Lovely weather for the Northeast Thursday and also for later Friday into part of Sunday. A few showers Friday morning usher in cooler air. A more developed system could bring more rain to the Northeast Sunday night into Monday. We are still looking at the Western Caribbean for the potential of tropical cyclone formation this weekend.

Weather in 5 Overnight cold front and developing low produced 2 to 3 inches of much needed rain. Weather improves later today. A weak cold front Friday brings cooler air into the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states for the weekend. Another chance for rain late Sunday night Monday. In the tropics we continue to monitor the Northwest Caribbean for potential tropical storm development this weekend.

A deep trough and a strong cold front plus a developing wave are combining to produce heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds for the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states tonight. Cooler air follows mid and late week. In the West it is bone dry with sunny skies thanks to a strong ridge of high pressure aloft. Tropical storm formation is possible late week or this weekend in the Northwest Caribbean.

Weather in 5 focuses on an arriving cold front, a developing wave of low pressure and tropical moisture surging up the East Coast. Look for rain, some of it heavy, and some thunderstorms in the mix late today and overnight into Wednesday morning moving across the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states. A general 1 to 2 inch rainfall is likely with some locally higher amounts possible. Behind the front we see a cooler weather pattern settling in and another chance for some rain Thursday night into early Friday. The weekend looks nice and dry. Below normal pressures across the Western Caribbean set the stage for possible tropical storm formation late this week or this weekend.

Joe & Joe Weather Show Monday September 27, 2020. Another warm sticky day but a cold front is approaching and we should see rain and thunderstorms from this up and down the East Coast Tuesday into early Wednesday. 1 to 2 inches of rain forecast with some locally higher amounts possible might dent the New England drought. We will also be watching for some thunderstorms in the mix. Weather improves but it does turn cooler for the second half of the week as a below average temperature pattern settles into the Eastern US. The west is dry and hot again as an upper ridge builds there. The tropics are quiet but we may see something try to develop in the Western Caribbean late this week or this weekend.

Weather in 5 A new week begins warm and humid in the Eastern US but it is setting up for some heavy rains which could put a dent in the New England Drought. Rains will increase Tuesday into Wednesday. Weather conditions should improve late in the week and into the weekend but it will be cooler than normal temperature wise. In the Tropics we will be watching the Northwest Caribbean this weekend for the potential for tropical storm formation.

A weather pattern change will bring much needed rain to New England where drought conditions are severe in some places. In fact we could see widespread rain from Coastal Georgia to Maine Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. Warm humid conditions continue until then. The long range weather pattern is a colder one and a wetter one. The tropics are quiet for now but they should start to rev up again in about a week as pressure slower in the Western Caribbean.

Weather in 5 A warm humid Sunday and Monday in the Eastern US will give way to rain later Tuesday through Wednesday. Rain will put a dent in the drought conditions across New England. Widespread 2 to 3 inch rainfalls are likely from Georgia to Maine. A colder pattern with below average temperatures is setting up in the long range.

Weather in 5 as our warm humid weekend is underway in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic States with clouds and some sun. A few scattered showers have snuck in this morning in Southeast Pa and into Delaware but they should disappear shortly. No major weather systems are impacting the US this weekend. Next week a stronger cold front and a deep trough developing in the Eastern US will bring some much needed rain to New England down to the Northern Mid Atlantic states. The tropics are quiet for the time being.
