Joe & Joe Weather Show this Sunday September 13, 2020. Hurricane warnings are in effect for the Central Gulf Coast as Tropical Storm Sally heads there from Florida and is forecast to strengthen. Heavy rains continue from Sally along the Florida west coast today but they should start to diminish. Hurricane Paulette is aiming for a pass right over Bermuda tonight and Monday morning and it is strengthening as well. The tropics are extremely busy with 3 named systems, a tropical depression and another wave. However here in the Northeast and MIddle Atlantic states the weather is relatively calm and quiet today and for the week ahead.

Weather in 5 Nice weather for Saturday, clouds but no rain forecast for Sunday. Next week Dry and seasonal air will cover the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states. Sunshine, cool air and low humidity forecast for the week. Tropical Storm Paulette forecast to become a hurricane as it heads to Bermuda. A new tropical depression may be forming off the southeast coast of Florida as it moves westward into the Gulf of Mexico.

Joe & Joe Weather Show this Thursday September 10, 2020. Heavy rain and flooding are occuring in an arc from the Mid Atlantic to Southern New England tonight but better weather should follow Friday into Saturday. Smoke from the California wild fires continues to dominate the West with the smoke clearly visible on satellite pictures. Tropical Storm Paulette is forecast to turn westward and then head toward Bermuda, possibly as a hurricane early next week. Tropical Storm Rene remains out in the open waters of the Tropical Atlantic. Other systems are in play including disturbed weather off the Florida East Coast and a new tropical wave off the African coast where conditions are favorable for development.

Weather in 5 Heavy rains and flash flooding are on the table today from parts of the Mid Atlantic to Southern New England. Weather conditions will improve Friday and Saturday with showers and thunderstorms Sunday. Nice late summer/early fall weather is coming next week for the Northeast & Middle Atlantic states. Tropical Storm Paulette is heading west northwest and could threaten Bermuda as a hurricane early next week while Tropical Storm Rene remains weak as it heads northwestward in the open waters of the far Eastern Atlantic. Other tropical systems are likely to develop over the next several days.

Joe & Joe Weather Show this Monday Labor Day September 7, 2020. A major summer winter storm is getting underway in the Northern Rockies and will spread southward into the Central and even parts of the Southern Rockies tonight thorugh Tuesday night. Heavy wet snow, strong winds, and temperature drops of 60 to 70 degrees over 36 hours will occur. Winter Storm Warnings are up for a large area of Wyoming and Colorado. In the tropics Tropical Storm Paulette has formed making it the 16th named storm of the season and another one for the record books as the earliest we have ever gotten to the "P" storm. It is in the Central Tropical Atlantic. We could have Tropical Storm Rene on the map this evening or tonight and it is to the east of Paulette and near the Cabo Verde Islands.

Joe & Joe Weather Show this Sunday September 6, 2020 has something you might not expect for at least another month and that is a rare summer snow storm for parts of the Northern & Central Rockies which will be accompanied by not only unusually heavy snow for this time of year, but also with temperature drops of 70 degrees or more from this afternoon to Tuesday! We will cover this snow storm in depth today getting into the where and whys. Meanwhile in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states we have the second day of a beautiful weekend with sunshine and low humidity from Virginia to New England. The tropics have a number of disturbances showing potential for tropical storm development over the next several days.
