This week, writer Tony James returns to talk with Joe about his Kickstarter campaign for Star Noir: Book Three, a comic about a 1940's detective teaming up with a grey alien to stop a shapeshifter killing LAPD officers in Central Station.
Star Noir: Book Three is currently live on Kickstarter until 14th November at kickstarter.com/projects/starnoir/star-noir-book-three, so please go support it if you can! Indie comics like this won't happen without your support, so it's vital to their success.
Check out a synopsis for the comic below:
"L.A. Noire meets The X-Files. Star Noir is a 6-Part detective story following Homicide Detective Alan Miller and his grey alien partner Ellis Tate as they travel across 1940’s Los Angeles to find an elusive shapeshifter killing officers in Central Station.
It mixes the haunting sci-fi of The X-Files with the grit and tone of noir books like James Ellroy’s The Big Nowhere. It has the snappy dialogue of The Big Sleep, and depicts a stylized 1940’s Los Angeles as seen in movies like Chinatown and L.A. Confidential."
