Stefan Hunt joins me on the podcast, we couldn't be in the same place, so Stefan joins me over the phone. The audio sounds like a phone call, but it's worth moving straight past that to hear what Stefan has to say. The man is one of the most creative people roaming the planet. He has produced feature length films, documentaries and T.V. series, worked as a film director for all the huge clients, made music videos for the big bands, organised festivals about death that everyone told him would never work and even illustrated a tram in Melbourne. Yet, with all this success, Stefan has remained with his feet firmly on the ground and accepted that taking life too seriously is pointless, because, in his own words ‘we’re all going to die’. It’s an hour long rollercoaster through the creative genius of Stefan Hunt's brain. Troy Abraham is a Californian who now resides in Sydney. We saw each other while out walking, during our ‘lockdown’ daily exercise, and decided to catch up once restrictions were eased (thankfully they were) and record a podcast. Troy teaches yoga at a fairly high level, running teacher trainings and workshops. He is a fast talking, fast thinking, entertaining guy that makes for a captivating conversation. We talk about life under lockdown, the spread of information in the digital world, social media and human behaviour. We also discuss the yoga world and how fact and science often get caught up in vagueness and ‘woo-woo’.

When I say we talk about ‘what happens when you die’ I don’t mean in a spiritual manner, I mean the mechanics of what actually happens to a body, where it goes, how it is treated and what the process is. Death, in our culture, is generally treated as something to be held at arms length and is sanitised by people who deal with funerals. Craig is one of those people. His down-to-earth, relaxed and completely respectful attitude made for one very interesting and eye-opening conversation.

Maggie Sten has been working as a solicitor in Sydney since the early 1980’s. To say she has ‘seen it all’ is an understatement. Having represented the who’s who of Australian criminal figures, she has an understanding of not only the justice system, but society’s issues at large. We talk about domestic violence, drugs, violent crime, foolish criminals and more. Despite the weight of what Maggie deals with every day, she maintains an incredible sense of humour that lights up this conversation and makes it very entertaining…
