Remember that little kid at WIR, who had his own set of flags and from behind the flagstand and would mimic every move the starter would perform on Thursday nights?

His name is Alexander Gilhart and in 2021 at the age of 19 he's one of the busiest starters in the Midwest.

Pittsville, Wisconsin's Eric Pember has been out of racing himself regularly since 2015.

However Pember still has his hand in motorsport in the role of a mentor/crew chief of sorts in northern and north central Wisconsin.
