The crowd anticipated a conquering King, but Jesus came as the suffering Savior—declaring that unless a grain of wheat falls and dies, it remains alone. Likewise, to follow Him means daily self-denial, living not for this world, but for the glory of God and the life to come.

Through rich teaching, we’re reminded that the call of Christ is not hidden in fine print: “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” This is the path to fruitfulness, joy, and the presence and honor of God.
