Just loving these experiments adding vocals to covers of original tape recordings by my younger self, from the eighties. Still using what I have been calling "throwaway" lyrics, written in 30 mins or less from lists of various words and phrases I have collected in notebooks.

More experimenting with v5.5. I have again added a lyric (a few minutes + a couple of edits) to an instrumental cover (Suno) of an original composition on some early keyboards. Again not sure what to expect produced the "throw away lyrics so as not to waste time/decent lyrics. Both trials have worked quite well, I might try this again when I have some spare time to try it with some decent lyrics.

I seem to be getting into a rut - or maybe I am finding my style, particularly with the new "my voice" feature. This is another song in which I have as usual, written the lyrics, and left Suno to complete the backing, with a little help from me. I am finding that is the way "The Circle80 Initiative works best". My Lyrics, my voice (with a little help from Suno) and most of the heavy lifting left to Suno. The AI has also "learned" the styles I prefer (and how to achieve them). Well what can I say, I love the song, I hope that you can like it too.

Possibly one of my favourite, self-written songs. Of course they all are at first but this seems special. Hope that you like it...

I explain about this version and the previous "Concert Version" if you listen to both, I would love to hear your thoughts. I think the "concert version" has a much better Feeling/vibes, except for the crowd noise/applause. But at any rate, I thank you for getting this far and hopefully listening to the track.

The first time I have prompted for "audience participation, live recording". In the past, I have had applause, etc, added to a track by Suno. It had always sounded like an audience clapping! This time crowd noises sound like "white noise" to me, however, I loved the effect of an entire audience joining in on the choruses and hooks . So after initial failures to improve the applause, I decided to upload this to S/C. Whilst I attempt to work out if I can improve on the crowd effects. I think I have few directions to explore, yet.

I also think the whole ambience of a live concert improves the track, so here it is , "warts and all" for the time being. The next upload will be a "studio version", which misses the feeling and emotional content of this "live" recording by Venicia Starchild, my very first "persona" and now one of my available Voices from Suno.

I seem to have been gravitating toward classical music recently, and when thinking about this track I went for it again. In a big way....

I was completing the album in which I was bringing the set of songs I produced from my sessions with ACID FORGE, up to date in Suno 5.5. However rather than just remixing the instrumental version, I decided try to add a vocal element - not something I had done before.

So I produced something off the top of my head, something I thought would work with this instrumental; in this case very short lines. I did structure it as a simple chorus/verse/chorus/verse/bridge/final chorus without tagging the sections. I let the AI do what it could. Surprisingly, After just one reiteration, Suno produced this result. Hope you like it.

It is another alternative way of adding a vocal to an instrumental track. The other way I had tried it was the Mash-up feature, however I found it gave me less control.

I still seem to be involved with emotions, I did not mean to write this but lacking inspiration, I used what I call the "David Bowie" method. Also known as the "Cut-Up" method. When I need extra help with starting to write a lyric I have used this a number of times in the past few decades - not often - but it can be useful to write something different. Basically, it depends on discovering potential lines/phrases/words in a newspaper or magazine. Cut the found results out and sift and build a lyric. Of course these days there are online apps to do the cutting up, etc. I also allow the use of anything else (textual!) to complete a meaningful lyric.

Anyway, I found a couple of titles, this one was chosen for no particular reason and starting building the lyric from the randomly (with a little thought) cut-up collection. I saw a TV interview with Bowie just after he had had a couple of hits, and he described this method when the interviewer asked where he got the ideas for his songs. I have occasionally used it since that time. It can work in difficult times!
