Not sure why, but browsing thru some recent uploads I was moved by this song, which was produced in V5, prior to the VOICE feature was introduced, As I liked this I decided to remix (in v5.5) and use my voice clone. It also neatly compared the two versions of Suno. As far as I was concerned, for this song, the re was little difference.

I was really pleased with the last upload, "Wonderful Lives", and so I specifically set out to use the same vibes/instruments. I was not sure of the theme for the lyrics however, so ... I started by using a method I have worked with before. I took a few random phrases, not knowing where I was heading. After two verses, I stood back and thought right time for a chorus, and for the first time ever for me, I followed it by a post chorus. This then gave me the title, which had been elusive up to this point. Rearranging the earlier sections and finalising the structure with a bridge, I felt I had scored. Of course Suno came up with another winning arrangement and I love it.

I don't know why, but this idea came to me without warning. Not really me, I think. I wrote a verse and chorus and asked Suno for a test run. I loved the chorus and soon wrote another verse and a bridge. That's when the trouble started. Trying to get Suno to manage the vocalists (obviously a duet) to sing the right lines. I did all the right things , but eventually rewrote the lyrics so that they were right for the gender of the singers. Eventually got it to work.... Must admit it seems very dated But I like it, Hope you will like it too.

I enjoyed the last upload, so decided to do a very similar thing with another (whimsical) poem. The Barbershop quartet, the tuba, a little whistling and some woodwind. I very nearly loaded two versions back-to-back, as they are very short. What made me almost do this; the second version of this iteration has a much faster tempo and I thought a repetition of the whole track sounded "cool". However in the end I decided to leave well enough alone, Hope it brings a little smile to you face?

Another early poem, set to music. Most of my poems were short and humorous, this is no exception. Set to a brass band sound with the tuba taking the bass line, Just a little fun, hope you like it?

I have been deliberating about using this poem for a long time; it tells a story of a young man struck with a life changing illness, and describes one of the changes to his life. I have kept the music deliberately minimal as the words say everything.

EDIT: I have just realised that I have in fact used this poem before about two months ago. It is a more upbeat and less sad version - I had totally forgotten it, In a way I prefer it but still like this because it is more in tune with the real life situation.

NB After listening to this track a few times, I decided to add another stanza. In fact a copy of the intro, becoming an outro. This used the title again. The alternative would have been to change the title - I felt. This seemed to finish the track much more positively. I borrowed the title from a magazine article, as it seemed to be so true in the circumstances.

Another experiment... Browsing Sound Cloud, as you do, and heard one or two tracks with some fantastic guitar work. Well, it set me thinking; could I cover one or more tracks from my old keyboard tapes/CD. Purely because guitar music is for me the ultimate experience - you may disagree, I won't mind. But I hope you can enjoy this guitar instrumental. I like it and may even see if the old keyboards still work/are in tune.

I was intending to carry on with my experimenting, this lyric when I started writing should have been one to add to A keyboard piece. However I found out that as I was writing I began to feel that it deserved to be a new song, so here is my latest NEW song. My lyrics sung by my cloned voice with music by Suno. This is another experiment , adding lyrics to an instrumental track. The instrumental track has a long history. Originally a tape recording of the author (myself) doodling on an electronic keyboard, the resulting melodies only exist on this tape recording, which was uploaded to Sound Cloud as one of a batch of a dozen of so, The collection was referred to as "The Coming Of The Keyboards". After I started working with Suno, I covered the batch using Suno and again uploaded to SC in an album of a similar name, with the epithet, "40 after". I have been using these "Doodles" to experiment with adding lyrics to an Instrumental piece. This track is a cover of the third generation instrumental with an additional lyric.. I therefore refer to myself as being the writer of both the lyrics and the music, Suno AI has been utilised to improve the production of the song. The history of the track is carried in the title for my own convenience.

I have enjoyed the experiment and are likely to repeat for all seven doodles, as time allows. I hope that this is received as well as the first two and that you will enjoy the piece.

Not sure why I ended up with this song... I had been exploring some metaphors, I might use for a song; but nothing really clicked. One of the lists I looked at was metaphors for friendship, I thought about this as a theme for a song, but again nothing really set the brain aglow. Then I decided and set to work asking myself some questions. OK, I have reached a certain age, and thought drifted to old age and LOST friends. This lyric slowly wormed its way on to paper (well a screen...) But by now I had too much material, so I had to start sieving out some ideas/lines/etc. Which is why I called it a radio edit. This is the shortened version, the whole this was too long breaking thru Suno's 8 min barrier. I soon approached the country blues genre, and so selected a little used persona/VOICE who I had called "Sunny" Blue. I have to say I really like it after all the issues, hope that it strikes a chord with you!
