Another of those songs which took me for a walk. I had no idea where or how I would get to the end when I first wrote the title.

I have also been playing with creating short video loops from Suno - fairly unsuccessfully so far. Difficult to create a loop which doesn't jump as it loops - even with the help of AI. Pity I cant put these videos on Soundcloud though. But I hope you can enjoy the music....

One of those songs you start writing with no idea where you are going - just a first line, which in this case becomes a chorus. And then it simply seems to write itself. Yes I did a lot of editing (and made use of a rhyming dictionary (Rhymezone) but it flowed from the pen like magic - yes I still write with a pen/pencil/etc and paper. Always carry a notebook with me for when I have a spare moment. In this case my better half had gone shopping while I waiter in the car.

This track has a history. The original track is on Sound Cloud, on an Album, "This Is Me". Twelve tracks created by myself using software called Acid Forge, I borrowed my son's computer. I used sampled riffs from various instruments, placing them on a piano roll and the editing individual notes (pitch and length of individual notes mostly) to create an original piece of music. The one called, "Classically Me" has been remixed here in Suno and vocals added (see below). Part of an experimental series, playing with the power of Suno. So the backing is a cover of an original classical piece by myself and uses lyrics by myself. Although the main melody is due to Suno. The vocalist is a Suno Persona, I have named Angelina Lee.

Have you ever been hit in the eye with an idea? Clouds was such to me, But I feel I may have used the metaphors, etc, too many times in this lyric. Looked into figures of speech using clouds... and just go carried away. Maybe a very different bridge with a rest from using this idea. Will be back in the near future if this works. Must admit I do like it just seems to be a little overdone - too long in the oven perhaps? Let me know if it works for you.

Idly humming a melody, I started putting words to it: I built a story from those first lines. It's how it happens with me. I never know where I am going as the song develops.

It's the lyrics which matter to me. I kept the story simple and the backing sparse. Suno however added far more than I actually wanted. I added a harmonica in place of the sax in my last upload, just for a change but I think it seems just right in this song. Hope you like it.

Another cover of one of my own songs originally put thru Suno when I first signed up. I very quickly used many of my songs to experiment with the possibilities without any real aim; I had a quite large back catalogue. But with v5.5, I am now trying to do my best for some of those early experimental trials. This particular song uses only the lyrics and I thought that a country genre would fit, however during the process I added a saxophone just to be different. Hope you like this updated version.

This was one of my first songs given the Suno treatment two years ago, when I first signed up. Always one of my favourite songs for a number of reasons, but although I was "0ver the moon" with the result then, Listening to it yesterday I felt the production compared badly with more recent tracks. So here is an updated version for my listening pleasure, I do hope you like it. It was originally uploaded to Suno as a complete track; myself singing and playing a uke (in this case) for accompaniment. So the lyrics, melodies and harmonies (chord sequencies) are all down to me. Something I have become lazy about with newer songs, prompting with just the lyrics. Anyway, I have covered the first results and here is the new, updated result.

Whoops nearly forgot to mention, the first Suno version (on SC) is titled "Good Times Turn Up Too".

A couple's life is about to be turned upside down. Although no details are included in the lyrics, he is telling her that he needs to go away for a short time. Asking her to wait and believe it will turn out right. I have been neglecting new songs lately, trying to turn one or two songs into versions to play and sing myself. But I am excited about the new song, hope you like it....

At first, with Suno, I was so taken with hearing my songs for the first time with a fully developed and produced format. I was soon adding my catalogue of nearly 300 (ish) songs to Sound Cloud with backings in various genres and styles and yes I was captivated. I took to writing more songs motivated by the sounds I heard when subjected to the "Suno treatment". I loved them all. But lately, I have come to realise that I had stopped singing/playing my own songs. What's more I had started allowing Suno to create melodies for my lyrics. I was not able to cope with learning to sing the songs, especially with some of the rock songs. And then Suno recently added "VOICES" so I could hear "myself" with these wonderful backings. I started to miss singing...

Creating the simple version of this track, allowed me to sing and play for myself, again. I intend to do more of this in the future and may even subject you to these posted on Soundcloud. I will produce the fully instrumented versions and experiment with styles/genres, just to hear what can be done with them, but I think I have come to a point where I need to hear myself playing and singing in my own way. I will probably not do this for all the songs as It takes me a while to transcribe the songs for fairly simple uke chords, but I am sure it will give me something I have been missing whilst letting Suno do all the heavy lifting. BTW Hope you like this simple version of this song - of course Suno is creating the music and using my voice on this track.

The original cut of a country styled version of "Yesterday changed my life" wondering whether I should have stayed with this version? Funny how thinking too hard can hide the musical "truth".
