I am not a movie critics however when you’re telling a story about a person real life experience. I strongly believe they should have pic an actor or actress from that experience. If it was me. I would have picked a Negro American women to play the lead role in this movie not African. Most of African didn’t go through perpetual slavery except Negro Americans. The movie lost its authenticity when u cast another person from a different culture and background. Cynthia Erivo ( Nigerian) actress shouldn’t be cast to be the lead role in this movie.
