This week we start by talking about some of our favorite cyberpunk movies, and forget that Bladerunner was a thing.  We then get into the 24th minute which is, lets be honest, not the most exciting part of Johnny Mnemonic.  Interesting or not, we still bring some fun facts to the table and make the most of the minute. 

This week's episode starts with a harrowing tale from the Canadian desert.  After that we dive into the minute, split between the nightclub, and an establishing shot of some urban slum.  Also this scene features some tongue sucking if that's what you're into. 

Josh and Eric watch the 22nd minute of Johnny Mnemonic, complain about the DVD player, and take a deep look at the club scene, in which there is no shortage of background craziness to comment on. 

We have an awesome minute in store for you.  First the conversation in the checker cab finishes up, then we finally cut to our super cyberpunky nightclub with techno opera singers, dudes in top hats and goggles, and of course Spider and Jane.  We cover it in painstaking detail so hope you enjoy.

After a brief and awkward discussion of the very familiar current events, your hosts examine the 20th minute of Johnny Mnemonic, in which Takahashi throws shade at Shinji, and Johnny Boy drives around in a Checker cab.

An intense conversation is being had inside the Pharmakom building?  Or in Tokyo?  Maybe just another random building?  We aren't sure exactly where it is, but the point is that two imposing Japanese men are giving us a serious plot dump and we'd all do well to pay attention.

This week's minute finds Johnny landing and Newark and going through a remarkably easy immigration process, then we catch our first glimpse of an important new character.

After far too much banter, and far too much hate on Texas (sorry Texans), we dive into our extra-exciting minute.  We finally end the Beijing hotel scene with Johnny's weird disguise-escape. Then we enjoy a rock-fueled transition to Newark. 

This week was a mess.  Either we screwed up, or our software screwed up, but either way this week's minute is only 40 seconds.  That 40 seconds, however, is actually packed with action.  Mono whips, gunplay, fire, severed fingers, and Johnny making his daring escape. We are here to figure it out, even if we can't figure out our own timing.

The fire fight continues.  Bullets, glass, and towel bars fly through the air.  It's our most action packed minute yet, and after a brief discussion of long-defunct FX programming and early 90's anime, we get deep into it.
