Back in 2010, my guest and a friend started to build guides about online bingo with the goal of ranking them in Google. They spent two years figuring out SEO and affiliate marketing before going full-time in this venture.
By 2012 they had reached some significant numbers but they wanted to build something real, "a company with lots of employees," but they had no idea how to do that. Let's just say they figured it out.
On the 11th of February 2016, my guests 28th birthday, his company went public in Sweden and he made $15 million that day.
In early 2018, he started a new company by spending $1,000,000 on a new domain, Great.com, and he aims to build the next generation of charity by making as much money as possible and giving it all away.
In this conversation we discuss:
- Why you don't need a plan (but you do need a vision) - Focusing on execution over contemplation - The journey from professional poker player to affiliate marketing expert

At the age of 39, my guest, Weldon Long, found himself walking out of prison after seven years and living in a homeless shelter -- this was 15 years ago.
He spent the next six months knocking on door after door trying to land a job, with zero experience. Finally, a small HVAC company in Colorado gave him a shot and it changed the course of his life -- he stayed with this company for 18 months learning the art of sales and running a small business.
Then he made his move and started his own HVAC company. Over the next five years, he grew this business to $20 million in sales before selling the business.
He is now a NY Times bestselling author, speaker, and sales trainer.
