Obedience feels a lot like parenting; we give instructions hoping our kids will trust that we see the bigger picture, even when they don’t agree. Jonah’s story reminds us that we often do the same with God, running in the opposite direction because we think we know better. Yet even in our resistance, God pursues us with purpose, correction, and mercy, inviting us back into the very calling that will shape us and bless others.
