I was joined in the studio by Steve Dorsett and Andy and Emma Culley from WAOS Musical Theatre. We hear all about their upcoming fundraiser The WAOS World  Tour, bringing a medley of songs from the shows performed over the last 50 plus years.

WAOS World Tour is at Horsell Village Hall on 5th and 6th September at 7.30pm on both days.

I spoke to Neil Marcus from the Surrey Musical Theatre Development Programme which is back for its second year, giving opportunities to local  creatives to give them an insight into the industry. Applications for the second year are open now.

We also hear from last years student Tamiko Dooley who shares her experiences.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to composers, lyricists, songwriters, and playwrights who:

Previous participants are welcome to reapply, though places cannot be guaranteed.

The 2025 cohort will collaborate on a brand-new musical about a group of writers who meet fortnightly in Woking to develop their craft.

The programme actively welcomes applications from under-represented voices in the cultural sector.

How to Apply

To apply, please send a sample of your work and a short biography to [email protected] for consideration.
