Former Texans running back Jonathan Wells joins Next Up to preview Houston's Week 7 road matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The Texans are coming off a 41-21 victory over the New England Patriots that saw the return of running backs Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce, who each rushed for a touchdown. With the running back room regaining strength, the Texans traded Cam Akers and a conditional 2026 seventh-round draft pick to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a conditional 2026 sixth-round draft pick. Akers started two games this season for the Texans, recording 147 yards and one touchdown on 40 carries. The Texans opted to keep Dare Ogunbowale on the roster as the third running back. "He probably plays a more valuable role on the team" and is "a major factor" on special teams, Wells said. Wells also reacts to defensive end Will Anderson Jr. being named AFC Defensive Player of the Week and discusses Denico Autry returning from a six-game suspension.
