the craft beer he desired

that first sip kissed his lips and
his eyes danced back to ’47 as
his face left this place.
(finish your water, you must hydrate,
noticed me sipping my scotch and
he smiled; oh, he smiled.
had he been even 10 years younger
we would have torn this bar apart.
