🤔🥵📱 Yup, I think most of us know this situation when procrastination is crawling upon us. And for me, one of the biggest attention drawers is my phone.

📉🔁😅 The worst part is, oftentimes, when you get into those loops it becomes much harder to get back into your workflow.

✅🛤🔙 I have found a quite simple way to get back towards that workflow. You might have heard it before, but it is really important to remind yourself from time to time.

🥊🤷‍♂‍❌🗣Yesterday I was challenged by a very obscure and confusing real live situation, which resolved in a real roller-coaster of situations and an awful mess in communication and misinformation. Some would say a really sh***y Tuesday morning.

👆🙇‍♂‍❓I would rather say a it was a reminder. So, what happened? I had a two-day crusade of communicating with the Subway company, due to several accusations of not paying a ticket. But you will find the specifics to that story in the podcast, the biggest thing I faced were a ton of opportunities to be mad at the subway company, life and everyone else, for being mistreated.

⌚🙏✅And I did that….. For about 10 min, then I centered myself again and went back to the statement in the topic. If I wanted to learn something out of this messy-situation, I have to accept it first. There is no reason, no use in cursing, or whishing it would have gone differently. Nothing will change from that.

🤔😤🧑‍🏫The only viable solution is actually accepting the situation, in order to change the future outcome. And that is exactly what I did, obviously not always with a smile, but with a mindset of learning from this incident.

🙇‍♂‍📅🇻🇪It has to do with a reminder that I was very lucky to experience throughout this year, as I was in touch with a friend of mine from Venezuela.

❓🤔🙋‍♂‍What’s the reminder for? You might ask. “APPRECIATION” is the answer.

😇🥵🤷‍♂‍It is the appreciation for our challenges. Why should we appreciate our challenges? Well if you are similar to me, then you might tend to forget how well you live from time to time.

⌚❌🌯Like when was the last time you knew that if you don’t solve a specific situation you will have to worry about your next meal? - Well my answer is…… never.

🔄😨💎🥵Through the exchange we had I realized once more how luxurious my “problems” are compared to hers. Worrying about a decision or a failed task at work or in my studies all a sudden seemed so small, so irrelevant, once I heard her story.

❌🛑🧑‍🔧It doesn’t mean, we should stop working on those struggles, be it really shows how limited our perspective of life can be. As I cover her story along with some comments about the situation in South America, the main message really is the topic of Appreciation. Not just for the moment, but also for the place and life you live in.

🙏🙇‍♂‍😇I hope this also serves you as a reminder to just take a moment and be thankful. Not to make you feel guilty, but rather to put your mind in a state of positiveness, that just shows you, how little your risk is and how some of the weights resting on you might not be as heavy, as you thought they were.

❌🤬😫Nobody wants to lose, nobody wants to fail, and nobody wants to disappoint. Yet a lot of times we do exactly that. We fall behind our set goals or at least behind the expectations we had.

🤔🤨❓So, what should we do about it? Should we be upset with ourselves, trying to perform a disciplinary measure, in order to get back on track? What happens if we fail with that?

🤷‍♂‍✅🤬In my opinion, neither is the solution. It is ok to not reach your goals. If you accept your failures it gives you room to grow, and it is actually more efficient since you do not waste even more time being upset about your situation.

📈🏃🚶‍♂‍Growth doesn’t continue like an exponential curve, in my experience, it is rather like two steps forward, one step back, at some point you will plateau for a while.

❓😩❓So what can we do with those unpleasant disappointments?

🕵️❌Yet sometimes we get to a point, at which we cannot really find an obvious answer, often when it comes to long term decisions.

🤔❌➡️Why are we sometimes having such a hard time choosing one direction?
⌚🧠After being in a state of uncertainty, I figured that the hardest decisions are often the ones that are most closely matched, I mean if they were not, I would be easy.

🤯🤬🔋While I was going through my own process of making a difficult choice at the time, I definitely came to one conclusion:
❌👉Not making a decision takes even more energy than making a supposedly wrong decision.

❓⤴️🥵But how can we get out of that state? Without being upset about the outcome.
🚶‍♂️🙇‍♂️I specifically go into the idea, that it doesn’t matter which choice you make, it really doesn’t.
