Josh McPherson

In this sermon, Pastor Josh McPherson talks on how Christian leadership isn’t about power or prestige—it’s about being filled with the Spirit of Christ and leading where God has placed you. Josh unpacks what it means to be a catalytic, world-impacting leader by looking at the life of Paul. True leaders are servants, not stars, called to build God's kingdom rather than their own influence. Leadership requires courage, humility, and faithfulness, focusing on God’s commendation over human approval. This message challenges believers to embrace their calling and lead boldly in their homes, workplaces, and communities. Don’t wait for a title—lead where you are today!

Are you living by the wisdom of the world or the wisdom of the Spirit? If you live according to the wisdom of this age you will destroy your life.
In this message, Pastor Josh McPherson unpacks 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 and challenges us to rely more fully on the Holy Spirit for understanding and applying God’s truth in every area of life. We need not be just "Bible guys" or just "Spirit guys," but 100% of both. Do not despise the Holy Spirit - you need more of the Spirit.

In this powerful message, Pastor Josh McPherson continues the Church on Fire series by diving into 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, reminding us that true faith is built not on human wisdom or eloquence, but on the power of God. Paul’s message to the Corinthians was simple yet profound: Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Pastor Josh warns against modern-day distortions of the gospel that diminish the necessity of Christ’s sacrificial death, highlighting the importance of the cross as the centerpiece of our faith. Christ came to die.

Pastor Josh McPherson emphasizes that the health and power of a local church depend on its united and unwavering allegiance to Jesus. It does not depend on tolerance and acceptance of every idea and perspective. That mindset will cause the church to be a dumpster fire.
