  • Having an Approachable Energy, Being Underestimated & A Weekend Trip to Montreal | Reflections 067

Reflections is a bi-weekly episode where I capture what worked, what didn't, lessons I learned, how I grew (and more) in the past 2 weeks.

In this episode, I talk about my adventure of going to Montreal for my friend's show (Tony/Breez @ The Storm 4), how my energy field literally says "talk to me" now, my disinterest in explaining my life plan to people, sober mosh pits, the consequences of not wearing earplugs to loud shows, bringing people up with humour, being checked out non stop, why my non niche won't find my content, conversational walls and limitations, rethinking my content strategy, sleeping on the megabus for a red eye, a hybrid bun, a rough hairline, the silly reason why I've started slouching at work, riddim, dubstep, doubles, getting shit done in a Starbucks cafe & much more.

  • Why I Don't Skip Meditation, Bar Finally Clicking & Dictating My Own Frame | Reflections 066

*sorry for blurriness on the first half of the video*

Reflections is a bi-weekly episode where I reflect on the past 2 weeks and I share what I learned, insights I gained, challenges I went through, and much more. In the process, I hope to document my journey intensely as well as help improve other's journeys through my experience.

In this episode, we talk about how skipping a morning meditation absolutely ruined me, how I bounced back later that day, one of my main Starbucks mentors quitting (Mitch), how he's helped me with my mindset on the job, the shift when bar finally clicked, pestering people with questions even if it's uncomfortable for me, not taking on the customers' frame and instead creating my own frame, earning my first decent paycheque, sacrificing a small amount of time after work to make it a better rest of my day, allowing myself to not put every single piece of content out, how Starbucks is bleeding into every area of my life (which I dislike) & why seeing kindness fires me up even more than being in nature.

  • Why You Must Master the Basics, Speed vs. Connection & Customer Happiness | Reflections 065

Reflections is a weekly episode where I document a week in my journey - I share my biggest lessons, takeaways, realizations, etc. in an effort to share my experiences with others so we can both improve the results in our life

In today's episode, I'm going to be talking about speed vs. connection, the correct ratio and timeline for a brew (according to Starbucks), why your foundation and the fundamentals must be strong, the consequences of keeping your irritations suppressed, the bad habit of ideas without applying them in action, how to keep your power in an interaction when you need to apologize, being exposed for my weakness in my drink foundation, going fast to go slow, simplifying Notion systems, and a bunch of random hacks for new partners at Starbucks.

  • Moving to Another Starbucks, Making Mistakes & Mastering The Fundamentals | Reflections 064

Reflections is a weekly series where I capture my biggest lessons, experiences, takeaways, etc. to document them as a week in my journey and share with you guys so you can learn from my journey, too.

In this episode, I talk heavily about Starbucks, moving to my new permanent location, the additional training (& patience) I'm receiving from Mitch and Michelle, how I'm getting over the challenges of being new, customer service tactics, till hacks, going slow to go faster, vocal tonality in customer service, pumpkin nitro, how to memorize the drink recipes, headbanging in the cafe, being happy for people at Lost Lands, fears around girls, and realizing that my idea of Notion being a possible niche was indeed accurate.

  • My First Week at Starbucks | Reflections 063

Reflections is a series where I reflect on my week. I document what worked, what didn't, what I learned, how I grew, what I'm going through, and more in an effort to share my journey with you in hopes that you can extract some gold and apply it to yours.

In today's episode, I talk about my first week at Starbucks, maximizing free drinks, my journey to trying all the drinks on the menu, massive caffeine highs and crashes, managing my energy and priorities, being in public so much, remembering names, connecting with people, panicking on till, fear of being under prepared/under trained, overwhelm with how much I need to know, exhaustion, a master database for content, iOS 13, and much, much more.

Really enjoyed this one and in retrospect, this episode really shows me why I continue doing this series. It's so damn cool to see where my head was at on the first week of my Starbucks journey.

  • Disregarding Niches for Happiness, Global Task Lists & Creating Notion Systems | Reflections 062

Reflections is a weekly episode where I reflect on my week and document lessons I learned, places I grew, experiences I had and share them in hopes that you can extract some gold and apply it to your own journey.

In this episode, I talk about my breakthroughs that allowed me to finally achieve a global task list design within Notion, working out with other people, possibly expanding content beyond documenting my journey, saying fuck you to niches and making content that makes me happy, why Notion may be a prime audience for me to make content for, designing systems to organize my life and brain, a fear setting that had a noticeable positive impact on me, not maximizing opportunities with girls and fear of regretting it in the future, as well as some challenges I had with attending live shows.

Hope this brings a ton of value to you folks. Much love.

  • Speed Over Perfection, Following Through & Holding Back From Giving Harsh Truth | Reflections 061

Reflections is a series where I reflect on my week. I talk about the highlights of what I learned, where I grew, what worked, what didn't & what I experienced in the hopes that my journey can help you a little with yours.

In this episode, I talk about first sip (Starbucks' introductory day), holding back from ripping people to shreds with my real POV, my resistance to getting the hottest girl in the room, the "struggle" of catching up on content, staying loyal to Starbucks, how to respond to general questions, caring less about content to go faster, detachment from minimal impact tasks, why I quit fantasy hockey even though I was primed to win, how to avoid talking about uncomfortable topics, and why it's okay to have multiple interests within your content.

Hope this provides you some gold. Much love, people.

In this episode, I talk about getting a job at Starbucks as a barista, facing fears and doing it anyway, going in to introduce myself, why I got hired on the spot, taking control of my financial situation, embracing super long pieces of content, how your fears are never as scary in reality if you're present, how I almost sabotaged myself with my job, my biggest insecurity around finding a job, reducing pressure in business so that I may succeed more in the long term, financial abundance, peace of mind, using energy from one area to apply to another area, and a lot more.

  • Applying to Starbucks, Grayscale Phones & Consciously Controlling Your Mindspace | Reflections 058

Reflections is a weekly episode where Josh Moxey gets on camera and reflects on his week. He documents and shares what lessons he learned, where he grew the most, what was on his mind, what worked, what didn't, and a bunch more.

Alright enough 3rd person talk for now - in this episode I cover applying to a job for the first time in around 5 years, the positives of working for free, training legs, swearing, breaking patterns, setting flexible due dates, lowering the pressure on myself, how to make your phone boring as hell, attachment to the perfect systems, financial abundance and excitement of buying new things, and realizing that no one's fully qualified at first for the job they get.

If you got enough value, please share with a friend. :-)
