In a rare show of restraint and professionalism this week, we actually manage to stay on topic, and that topic is Christmas. We're going through a list of Josh's favourite Christmas things, and then we try some Christmas crisps in a festive Pete's Treats! This week we've got some real treats for you guys in the form of our longest episode yet (hold for applause) and a brand-new guest! Mike "long time listener, first time caller" McCahill has brought his singular talents to the show, along with a big list of awful movies for us to talk about. Not for the faint hearted, we delve into what IMDB users have declared the worst 100 movies ever made. Then a little later in the show we have real treats for us in the form of actual real-life treats on Pete's Sweets! We promise that this was an intentionally belated Halloween episode. There is no chance that we started talking about Disneyland and managed to veer wildly into a discussion of things that terrify us to our very core. Last week we did the Candy Corn side of Halloween, this week we get a bit spooky, especially if what scares you is two guys half-rememering YouTube videos they saw in 2011. Halloween strikes again! And you know what that means, a special Halloween edition of Pete's trick-or-TREATs, where we review sweets. If you're on the fence about buying some Halloween-themed sweets, and you need to know the opinion of someone who doesn't like sweets, and then someone that likes almost anything that isn't an apple - then look no further. Fresh from a COVID hiatus we're back up to our old tricks with about 40 solid minutes on toilet etiquette, although there's not much etiquette to be found in the episode itseld. Fueled by listener feedback we launch into some pressing questions on our bathroom habits. It's a masterpiece of nonsense. This week we're trying some Irish Cadbury's to varying degrees of success, and Pete confesses that he has a blanket distaste for all jam. Baffling (yes, it's me, I write the episode descriptions and I still cannot get my head around my co-host's hatred of fruit - Josh). In the throes of the recent heatwave, we got together and had a chat that starts with a conspiracy theory about alternative history, but that quickly devolved into discussion of TV show intros and outros. We also managed to include a toilet break, a medley of poorly-sung power ballads from the 80s, and a brief interruption where someone just knocked at the door. It's perfection.
