Part 3 of -Wrestling with Romans 13.- There are times to resist -government authority,- but we must remember---- Our resistance shouldn't be primarily about our fleshly comfort or our own obstinate personal will, but about the kingdom of God and the Salvation of Lost Souls. -o Both now and in the future.-- Whatever we decide -and whatever we do-, we must remember that the Lord does not see as man sees. The Lord looks on the heart.-- We must beware of being defiant just for the sake of being defiant. -- The best way to submit to legitimate government authority is to obey God. If you obey God and live a life of love, you will have fulfilled the highest law.

Today We look at a Warrior's Heart in King David and how this applies to God's children today. Does he desire us to have the same type of heart of a Warrior--

Consensus of opinion is not the path to truth. Truth must be revealed by the Truthful One-o It is the Truth that matters. It is the Truth that sets you free. -o I must be more concerned with speaking the truth than whether you like what I'm saying. -o This is why it is necessary to understand proper submission to authority. And what authority is. And what restrictions it is appropriate to submit ourselves to. -- Simply put- Love ought to compel us to seek and speak truth. --AND--When be begin down the path toward truth, we embark on a dangerous journey.--o Consider this path--Seeking truth means that there is truth. The fact that there is truth means there is a right thing to believe. A desire to understand truth or to know the right thing can quickly settle into a satisfaction with being right. And feeling justified in being right can completely replace the hunger for truth altogether if we're not careful.-- Prov 16-18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.-- As we seek Truth, our heart's attitude ought to be- -Lord, you know,- rather than any self-satisfaction with being right.

THE TRUE PRESENCE AND POWER OF GOD IS ALL THERE IS. There are no other things. There are no substitutes. There are no replacements. And only a people who are pitiful and anemic spiritually would settle for anything else. - We must have the Holy Spirit among us. Period. - -It is the Spirit who gives life- the flesh is no help at all.- It is the Spirit who will guide you into all truth. -Right- information is no substitute for Holy Spirit-led Truth.- You can be right yet totally ineffective. You can have the right information, yet be completely devoid of the power of God. You can gain a whole world of religious knowledge and still die in your unforgiven sins and spend eternity in Hell. -- I am not saying all religious activity is automatically bad. I am saying that all religious activity is inherently incomplete, insufficient, ineffectual. God didn't just give us a set of standards- He gave us a Savior. He didn't just give us some rules and traditions-a sort of life ethic to loosely base our lives on- He gave us a living way. - How often do we settle for religious activity when we could have REAL fellowship with Christ-- You can satisfy yourself with the junk food that is religious activity, or you can seek the Spiritual Food of God from a Hungry Heart.
