Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning choreographer, Ryan Heffington has worked on everything from film to fashion, commercials to music videos.

Ryan is widely known for his choreography for Sia's iconic "Chandelier" video which won an MTV Video Music award for Best Choreography. Recently Ryan has been collaborating with Harry Styles on the trending "Dance No More" video.

Other exciting collaborations include Bad Bunny, Spike Jones, Florence and the Machine, Pink and many more.

Ryan Heffington is globally celebrated for his unconventional, expressive, and highly accessible approach to movement. His inspiration comes from stretching creative boundaries and from collaborating with other artists who aren't afraid to take risks and think outside the box.

When he's not traveling the world, Ryan decompresses in his home in 29 Palms. Here he spends his days hiking in and around the Joshua Tree National Park and working on his latest project, Desert Trade, and artists residency, located in Twentynine Palms, CA. Ryan has already beautifully renovated the large front building and is in the process of renovating the 4 bungalows so Desert Trade can host artists from around the world. • Wild Heart Ranch Airbnb / Escape Room experience

• Hi-Orbit, Blake's exciting new project, a Joshua Tree themed escape room in downtown 29 Palms — recently opened to the public.

"Wild Heart Ranch", Blake's Airbnb, fits in perfectly with the trend of experiential stays that is happening now. It features an eclectic mid-century style with interesting vintage finds strategically placed throughout the property (indoors and out) to create an immersive puzzle that guests interact with to solve an intricate story/ puzzle. An unforgettable one-of-a-kind experience. Wild Heart Ranch Airbnb is way more than just a place to stay — it's an unforgettable experience like no other filled with creativity, stories, mystery and adventure.

Recently Blake and his creative partner, Thomas Meston, have been creating an exciting new Joshua Tree themed Escape Room in downtown 29 Palms called Hi-Orbit Games. Blake describes the experience "it's as if you're in an early Steven Spielberg film." It includes UFOs, a mysterious camp site, a saloon, a crystal cave room and a flight control room — its themes play on all the mythology of Joshua Tree with a late 70's early 80's style. In the front area you'll find a vintage arcade which includes a PAC-MAN arcade game!

The musical theme at the beginning and end of this podcast episode is by one of our local favorite bands, "Melancholy Babies", who you can see live every Tuesday night at the Copper Room in Yucca Valley.

Blake has also created a card game called "Invasion Joshua Tree" that can be purchased at Hi-Orbit Games and at various stores around Joshua Tree including "Joshua Tree Trading Post" and "The General Store" in Tin Town (in Twentynine Palms).
