Artificial intelligence or AI is a crucial topic of debate in this current age of digital revolution. How do we deal with unethical use of AI? How do we cope with AI taking over our jobs? Is AI truly the doom of us? 

To put these questions to rest, Professor Fahmi Hussin, an academic from the Faculty of Engineering, UiTM joins us in this episode to detail how we should perceive AI and its place in our future. 

In recent years, technology-inspired methods of news gathering, production and delivery have challenged the news medium. Artificial intelligence (AI) has evolved from science fiction to a genuine instrument that may help humanity handle numerous concerns, including the news industry.

The ubiquity of computers has shown AI’s many uses. The news media is fast at developing machine learning, computer vision and planning, scheduling and optimization. In this podcast, we talked about the newsroom’s overall synergy with AI.

Dalam bidang kewartawanan, meskipun sudah melangkah ke dunia pendigitalan, mereka masih perlu mematuhi etika dalam pencarian data dan mendapatkan maklumat dengan melakukan proses-proses yang perlu dilakukan selayaknya sebagai seorang wartawan professional. Oleh itu, mereka perlu berusaha untuk menunjukkan kebenaran, bersikap telus, dan melibatkan komuniti agar mampu membantu mewujudkan pelaporan data yang lebih dipercayai dalam penceritaan data visual.

Pada era globalisasi yang semuanya hanya di hujung jari, percambahan maklumat begitu pantas dan efisyen. Namun, kepantasan maklumat ini selari dengan tersebarnya maklumat yang tidak tepat dan juga berita palsu.
