We are kicking off a new series this week that is great for inviting first time or return guests!! The last few weeks have been devoted to laying out the future steps of Journey. This week, we are going all out to see what that looks like lived out.

The truth is, we were meant to experience life fully and without worry walking hand in hand with our creator. It was meant to be the adventure of a lifetime full of hope, happiness, and anticipation of great things every single day. Instead, we've been the victims of THE most successful conspiracy of all time. We are naming the conspirators and stealing back what they stole from us.

Expect incredible worship and some fun mixed in as we unravel "The Gods Conspiracy".

We are closing out this series on Sunday with a bang! We've talked about the church in a number of different ways from the definition of "church" to it's purpose, it's mission, and how it should be led. This weekend we are talking about the effect God wants the church to have on us. This is huge for many of us, especially if you come from a guilt ridden system of religion or if you've been on the outside because you didn't feel "good enough" to be in a church.

The more we study about the New Testament, the more we are convinced that there is SO much more to it than most of us have ever experienced. We are so confident of that possibility, that we will be sharing some changes that we are working on at Journey. If we don't do anything else right, let's BE THE CHURCH in the way that Jesus intended so that we can walk alongside Him and experience Him fully in this world.

I know people attend Journey for different reasons and many times you will choose whether to attend based on the topic of discussion. In the next 2 weeks I am going to do my best to detail where we are going very soon and what this will look like. As we begin to implement these changes, you will begin to see the results infiltrating everything we do. That is how significant I believe this will be.

I have been praying for each of you and for Journey since we were introduced to each other and God has been consistently telling me that He is about to do something huge in our midst this year. I believe that we are on the verge of this and that all of us are needed to fully realize what God is doing.

The church has a mission. How we go about it matters to Jesus and to us.

Last weekend we kicked off "The Church" by describing what the church really is. Many believe it is a building, a place, a denomination, or a local community of faith. We often say "________is my church", "I'm going to church", or "I'm a member of ________ Church".

In reality, we discovered that the church is not a place or an organization. It is a people. Literally, if we understand the meanings of church in the New Testament, it is "a called out people that belong to the Lord".

This week we are asking the question, what is the purpose of the church? Why does it exist? What is it supposed to do? If we go on what the Bible says, the answers just might surprise you.

This weekend we are starting a very different series at Journey. We aren't just talking about the church, we are talking about you.

The church isn't a building or a denomination. It isn't limited by location or style. The church is literally the body of Jesus Christ in this world.

We are starting a new chapter at Journey and it all depends on you because you are the church.

We will be talking about our purpose, our mission, our leadership, and our participation. The church is more than just what we do on Sunday mornings...it is who we are all the time, everywhere we go.

Last weekend we looked at a beautiful story of Jacob's pursuit of Rachel. He was willing to work for 14 years for her father to have her as his wife.

The truth is, many relationships start out great but drift or implode over time.

This weekend we are closing out the series by looking at what it takes to keep the fun and excitement in love going and what to do if it feels that the fire is all but extinguished.

So far, we've explored some of the secrets to healthy relationships. First, you must be whole alone before you can be whole with someone else. Jesus is the one the brings fullness. Second, submitting to each other will build a stronger relationship with the most important people in your life.

Last week we talked about dating. When you date, date as if you will be dating them for the rest of your life and if they are the one for you, date them for the rest of your life.

This week we are exploring one of the most intense stories of courtship in the Bible. We're talking about one of the biggest components that will tell you when you have found the ONE.

Whether you are married, single, or somewhere in between, this series will help you develop stronger relationships with others and more importantly, with Jesus.
