Your state of mind governs your experience of reality. Understanding the gunas offers insight into how we can move into a peaceful state of mind, and how the other 2 gunas help us function in life. There is no self judgement, just observation and conscious action. Sattva guna is one of balance, connectedness and bliss--a deep knowing and peaceful calm. Rajas guna is one of action, transformation, transmutation & alchemy; it allows for thought, planning, executing, digestion, and all movement and flow. Tamas is the state of inertia and stagnation, decay and death; this state is more depressed and hides true nature. We aim to cultivate a sattvic state :)
