Today I'm honored to share Sabrina's story on this podcast interview; one that is truly inspiring and full of hope for anyone facing life's toughest challenges head-on. From overcoming depression and anxiety, being a single parent while putting herself through school – it wasn't easy but she did not give up even when things looked bleakest. Her journey serves as a reminder that regardless of where you start from or how difficult the road ahead may seem at times – you too can achieve your dreams if you are willing put in the hard work and dedication necessary!

Hear the resilent journey of Tamesha, a blind social worker who passed her master level exam on the first try. Tamesha had many barriers in her social work career leading up to qualifying and taking the licensing exam, from navigating her social work career; having difficulty finding a job out of college to applying to graduate school. She was accepted into an advance standing program and after successful completion. She became a member of the Journey To Licensure Study Community in 2021 and joined the 8 Week Bootcamp Licensing Coaching Program in October 2022. Tamesha passed her exam on April 4th, 2023.

Hear Dominique’s amazing story of resilience to passing her LCSW exam. She shared that she had a child in the middle of the pandemic; became eligible to take her clinical exam and was not able to because of the pandemic. The first time she took her exam, she missed it by 1 point. She took it the second time and missed the passing score by 1 point. During her third attempt, she not only had to take on her responsibilities as a single mother of a now 2 yr. old child, but she also became a full time care taker to her mother who had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, by bringing her into her home. Despite Dominique’s many responsibilities, she was able to buckle down and passed her clinical exam on the third try!

Nicole experienced many set-backs in her journey to get her clinical license including failing her clinical exam twice before passing her exam on her third attempt. During this episode, Nicole shares her internal struggle of fighting the battle within her own mind. Nicole also shares that ‘LIFE HAPPENED’ during the licensing journey. She often wanted to give up. “Something was always happening when I was trying to prepare for my exam”. From Nicole’s licensing journey that she shares with her colleagues, she encourages them to not give up on themselves and to keep moving forward despite failure, because it is part of the journey.
