Besmira Alija is a current Harvard medical student and a proud graduate of Hunter College in NYC where she spent time in various research labs, clinical settings, and mentoring initiatives. Today, we touch on her experience as a first generation immigrant and some of the challenges that she faced on the way to medical school, and how she was able to overcome these obstacles!
