On the morning of September 16th, 1994, while returning from an early morning cross-country run in her hometown of Galion, Ohio, Maggie was kidnapped at gunpoint. She was led into a nearby wooded area, bound, raped twice, strangled, buried under some brush for a time, and eventually shot five times and left for dead. She survived this horrific ordeal but it left her with with three bullets permanently lodged in her body-two in her right lung and one in her head. Today, Maggie shares how The Shack helped her kick at the darkness until it bled daylight.
