Inspired by hikers on Spain's El Camino trail, travel journalist, Maggie Espinosa was inspired to walk over 800 miles along California's El Camino Real. Over a year of hiking in 80 mile chunks, she visited every one of the 21 Missions, meeting other hikers, sharing meals with new friends and wrote up the experiences each night.
