Did you know that perfectionism has deep roots in white culture. Based partly in religion the white western world seeks 'one right way' to do a thing. This is not something that exists in Black culture.

In the episode we talk about the origins of perfectionism and how it oozes into our lives unseen, causing mental health and social togetherness issues.

- Why White people don't question things growing up, in fact why they don't question many things in life.

- Where we have a crossover between authenticity and and perfectionism

- Why perfectionism a giant tool for capatalism

- The bias around gnerder, accent and all the things that feed into perfectionism

We also go deep with Justin inot what it's like to grow up as a black person in a PWI (Private White Institution) and how it's spilled over in to the rest of his life.

I've never really had a proper job, I'm the definition of that cringeworthy term 'the serial entrepreneur'. I am essentially unemployable.

In this episode we look a little at my history and how some all consuming problems that I hit early on in my career shaped who I became as an business person and how it forced me to make a concious decesion to still live with joy and remain an optimist nevertheless.

July 4th should be fireworks, cold beer and celebrations for an American, even one living in an often cold and rainy England. But I've never liked fireworks or been paticularily patriotic so as I set out for my walk a whole different set of thoughts come to my mind.

America is one of those products that simply does not live up to it's brand hype. In short relection on a walk I took on this day a year ago I still feel the same, I'm still for the wild ones.
