S.M.A.R.T
Specific—The goal should have a deadline
Measurable—Track your progress
Achievable—Start with little pieces so you stick with it.
Relevant—The goal you pick should be directly related to your end in mind. Timely—setting a timeframe helps keep your focus on track
Goals need to be SMART and Spiritually smart. Apply the SPIRIT test.
S.P.I.R.I.T
Spiritually—is that specific goal Aligned with God’s word and will for your life? (Have you prayed, meditated, found scriptures or heard a word from a spiritual mentor confirming this goal?)
Planning – Have you really researched the goal? Is it measurable? What it might cost in time, money or commitment? What sacrifices from other areas of your life will it take?
Inspiration—This one is a bit more telling. What is the goal you want to achieve and why?
Requirements—Goals often require hard work. We need to commit ourselves to the task and fall in love with the process.
Intentionality— Be intentional with your goals. Be intentionally humble, open and receptive to how God may adjust those plans.
Trust—Trust the process. Get an accountability partner. Trust God. Trust that this goal will accomplish something.
