Are you planning on starting your own rainbow family? Have you found a donor?  Do you have – or need – a donor agreement?

Kris talks to Jacq and Dene about sperm donor agreements. We chat about:

  • clarifying the intention of the parties entering into a donor agreement
  • the legal rights of the parties
  • ‘known’ and ‘unknown’ donors
  • relationships between ‘known’ donors and lesbian parents
  • donors are not legally considered as parents under the law, so an intention to co-parent needs to be discussed and included in the agreement
  • Prospective Lesbian Parenting Victoria (PLP) group, a friendly inclusive and informal group for lesbian/same-sex attracted women who are considering parenthood.
