Weekend Scripture: Philippians 2

To live is Christ and to die is gain.

This week, Scott walked us through Philippians 2. Jesus poured Himself, emptying Himself of the riches of heaven so that we could be saved by His grace. According to Paul, Jesus said that it is more blessed to give than to receive. The most joyful life is the one spent for Jesus, reaching lost and broken people. The path to being full of joy is emptying yourself out. If you aren't experiencing the joy of Jesus, it's because you aren't emptying yourself out for Jesus.
